Betfair Poker Live! Prague, the sixth leg of the popular poker series, proved a hit with poker players once again. The event, which was hosted by the Card Casino Prague attracted players from far and wide. Betfair Poker Live! Prague, NLTH €820+80 Main Event saw 113 players from Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Latvia,  Slovakia, UK, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Norway and Czech Republic contesting for the €100,000 GTD prize pool. With 12 places paid the first prize reached a tidy sum of €30,000.

The final table of Betfair Poker Live! Prague assembled a very impressive lineup and fireworks were soon firing as players did battle over the baize. The final hand in the heads-up saw Škampa try his luck with 10-10 against Zaruba’s A-K. After the dealer ran out a blank board Jan Škampa became the winner of the event and took home €30,000. It is the second big score for the Czech who was delighted to win in his homeland. Back in 2009 he also won the EPT Prague main event. The runner-up Miroslav Záruba was awarded €20,000 for his excellent performance.

It is with a sad heart that we say goodbye to Prague, however we look forward to saluting Vienna! The Austrian capital is going to be the next and final destination of this popular poker series. It will be held on the 2nd to 5th of December 2010.
