A new online poker website is hitting the scene on October 1st. Surebet Poker has already signed its first celebrity sponsor, Trishelle Cantella, a reality TV star and Playboy model. Cantella formerly worked as an Ultimate Bet sponsor, until she (and the entire Ultimate Bet roster) was dropped after Black Friday. Team Surebet will include Mike Wolf, Jason Sallman, Kyle Cartwright, and Mindi Taylor. Surebet’s draw will be its rake amount, promising a “lower rake than most major poker sites.” However, Surebet doesn’t specify exact percentages. On October 1st, the first 100 players to sign-up will receive $5 free and the following 300 will receive $1.

In 2010, Cantella placed 3rd in the World Poker Tour Invitational Tournament, hauling in a handsome prize of $20k. She joined the Ultimate Bet sponsorship team in 2009, until the US poker world hit a brick wall on April 15, 2011. “I am so excited to join Team Sure Bet Poker,” Cannatella said, “and I cannot wait to represent Sure Bet at tournaments both live and online.” In addition to Playboy, 31-year-old Cantella has appeared in Maxim, Elle Girl, and Spin. Her reality TV appearances have included MTV’s The Real World: Las Vegas, Punk’d, The Surreal Life, and Fear Factor.

Surebet is licensed in Costa Rica. It will offer live customer support, a promised lower rake, deposit bonuses, and bonuses exclusive to those higher up on the VIP status ladder. For the time being Surebet will not be accepting real-money US players.
