Definition
You are holding four cards of consecutive rank, so you need the card of rank one above your highest card, or one below your lowest card to make a straight. So if one of 8 cards falls, you will make a straight. Also known as an open ended straight draw.
Example
I had the KQJT, so I had an up and down striaght draw and just needed an Ace or a 9 to make a straight.
