Definition
Being on tilt. A "steam bet" or "steam raise" is an unadvisable bet that is made because a player is on tilt.
Example
After Hero's set of aces lost to a flush on the river, on the next hand, hero has T6 offsuit and 3-bets pre-flop because he is mad. This is a "steam raise".
