Definition

A strategy based approach to poker in which the player employing the small ball method plays a wider range of hands from Button, Cutoff and Hijack for smaller PFR’s The strategy intends to do two things, 1 is to win a lot of small pots and frustrate your opponents with an extremely active image, 2 is to exploitably tilt your opponents in an predictable manner to take their stack. Recently re-popularized by Daniel Negreanu, this style of play is for advanced players only.

Example

While Daniel Negreanu re-popularized Small Ball Poker within the community, there has been some insinuation that some of the worlds top pro's are unhappy that one of their last unkown strategies has come to light.
