Definition
You have Relative Positon if of the players still in the pot, you are first on the left of the pre-flop raiser. After the flop, it is common for players to check to the pre-flop raiser. If this happens and you have Relative Position, then if the pre-flop raiser bets, you will get to see what all the other players left in the hand do before you have to act.
Example
UTG, MP1 and I limped in the CO, then the BTN raised. The SB called, so did UTG and I called too because I had Relative Position.
