Definition
The Doomswitch is a legendary figment of the collective imagination of the online poker community. When this legendary switch is activated for your account you will proceed to suffer a seemingly unprecedented series of coolers and badbeats (doom!). Many players like to speculate that the doomswitch is activated in response to a withdrawal of funds from their poker account.
Example
I withdrew half of my bankroll to pay the rent, then obviously the doomswitch hit and I lost the rest.
