Definition
A legally sanctioned facility for playing poker and other card games; usually not used to describe a full-service casino.
Example
In California, several of the major poker rooms are referred to as card clubs, including the Commerce, Bicycle, Hustler, and Hollywood Park Casinos. (Note that despite using the word "casino", these are not full service casinos-- games such as traditional blackjack and slot machines are not offered.)
