Michael Singh became intrigued by poker at around the time of the Moneymaker boom in late 2003 and early 2004. He began playing online at microstakes, but eventually moved up. By 2006, he discovered that he was making more money playing poker than at his job, so he quit to play poker professionally. Michael played professionally for several years at no limit hold'em cash games and keenly used bonus offers and promotions to increase his earn. At one point, Michael was both playing and coaching students in the intricacies of no limit hold'em cash games. But then, the events of Black Friday made it more difficult for him to sustain an acceptable hourly rate playing poker. Currently, Michael is a freelance writer with a focus on writing content about poker strategy and poker news.
