RivaPoker's downloadable software isn't going to win any awards, but it is a solid poker client. The crimson theme might get tiresome after a few hours and the banners at the top and bottom look kind of cheesy. Despite its flaws, RivaPoker delivers a functional, reliable poker product.
When you log-in, you will be seeing red, literally. You will either love or hate the bold scarlet motif, but the lobby is organized well. On the left hand side of the screen you can choose between Cash ables, Sit&Go, Tournament, or Land Based. Then, the games of your choosing pop up in the center of the screen. Additional filters are available in the upper left hand corner should you need them.
The fun and the red don't stop when you take your seat. We loved how the cards were big and easy to read. RivaPoker believes, as do we, that squinting at your monitor is unacceptable. Another cool feature is the ability to customize your avatar. Betting can be a little bit clunky, but after a few hands you will get used to utilizing the slider bar or the 1/2 pot, 3/4 pot, or pot button. Pressing the + or - button allows you to increase or decrease your bets in increments.
Aside from a few superficial flaws, RivaPoker's software is top notch. We think this room has a very bright future on the iPoker Network.
