Resizable Poker Tables for Online Poker Rooms
Online poker has changed a lot since its beginnings. Back in 2005, if you would see people playing 8 tables at once they were considered multi-tabling masters. In fact, most sites only allowed 4 tables to be played simultaneously and rarely more than 8. But things are much different now and many grinders play 12, 16 and even 24 tables at the same time on their way to big bucks. This is largely due to many online poker rooms adding resizable poker tables.
There are a lot of advantages by playing at an online room that offers resizable poker tables. Mainly, you don't need a big monitor with massive resolution anymore to multi-table. The standard resolution for most poker player's monitors was considered 1600x1200 because you can fit 4 tables with no overlap. However, if the room you're playing at offers resizable poker tables, you don't need such a large resolution because you can make the table as large or as small as you need. While playing at Full Tilt, you can fit 9 poker tables on a 1600x1200 monitor and if you have two of these monitors, that's 18 tables all aligned and arranged however you want! You can really get creative with your layouts and sizes and find one that suits your style.
If a room offers resizable poker tables, it's usually one of two kinds. First, they may offer just a Mini version. What this means is you can select "mini" in your table layout options and it shrinks the table to a much smaller size. You can then play many smaller versions of your tables at once. This is a nice feature, but isn't as good as custom resizing. If a room supports custom resizable tables, you can manually resize any table as large or as small as you want. This way obviously has many more advantages then just one standard size.
