Accepts US Players! Generally considered the best online poker software interface available, and recently upgraded their software. Decent action, offers huge range of stakes, from micro-limit stakes for beginners to monster stakes for the professional. Offers a separate application called UltimateBuddy, which is an excellent friend/fish finder.
Beats (Suck):
Earning the bonus dollars is painfully slow. There have been many cashout and support problems in the recent times.
Ultimate Bet.com Review
is the home
of poker pro's Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, David "Devilfish" Ulliott, and Antonio Esfandiari.
Ultimate Bet is also the sponsor of the World Poker Tour's UltimateBet.com Poker Classic Tournament - a no limit
Texas hold'em event held in beautiful Aruba. This will be the third year in a row that UltimateBet will be
sponsoring this WPT tournament in Aruba.
UltimateBet.com online poker has been dealing cards on the Internet since 2000 and was created from the ground up.
The software was helped built by true poker professionals; many of the world's top poker professionals and most respected
authorities have been instrumental in all aspects of UltimateBet's design. And the software interface shows
this effort. It is awesome. UltimateBet has also implemented strong safety measures to ensure the trust and security of their customers.
UltimateBet online poker is operated by eWorld Holdings, Inc. an international business corporation located in Antigua.
They are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
offers a great variety of games. In addition to
Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, Sit & Go tournaments, and Multi-Table tournaments,
UltimateBet also offers other games such as Triple Draw, Pineapple, Razz, and mixed games HO HOSE and HORSE. However, the other games generally do not have many tables (if any at all) open, so action is limited. UltimateBet offers a greater range of playing stakes, starting with no-limit hold'em blinds as low as $0.01/0.02
with a $5 maximum buy-in, and $0.01-0.02 limit hold'em tables. This is a great way to ease into
online poker - these micro-limit stakes offer a more realistic game than the play money game,
yet won't break your bank as you learn and develop your online strategy.
Also, if you're a high stakes player, they offer all the way up to $50 - $100 for no-limit and $150 - $300 for limit. That is some of the highest stakes out there today.
Most people
at the ring tables are at the mid-stake $.50 and $1 blind level. Most people are attracted to the action packed shorthanded (6 max) as opposed to full ring (10 max). At the evening during a weekday there was nearly 30 full tables of $.50 - $1, and 20 $1 - $2, so if these stakes are in your range finding a table will be no problem.
Sit and Go traffic is not as popular as their cash games, especially if you play high stakes. Most games are $33 and below, and I noticed about 5 $55, and a few $109's running. They offer regular, turbo, ultra turbo, heads up, and different satellites. The blind structure for the ultra turbo games escalate at a quick 2.5 minutes, making any tournament over in around 20 minutes!
is becoming a lot more popular for their multi-table tournaments.
They have a different tournament starting almost every 10 minutes! Throughout the day you will see a range of buyins from $1 + $.10 up to $120 + $9. They also offer many guaranteed tournaments from $1500 ($5.50 buyin) up to $25,000 ($129 bounty tournament). Most of there tournaments host around 150 - 300 players, with the most popular being the nightly $10 - $30 buyins. Their Sunday tournament is also much larger than the past, with a $215 buyin and $200,000 guaranteed. Lately the number of players in this event has grown a lot, which may raise the guarantee sometime in the near future. Ultimate Bet is also not afraid to give away money with Freerolls either. They offer more daily freerolls than almost any online site, with one $50 freeroll starting every hour of the day and $100 freeroll every 2 hours.
Playing for real money at Ultimate Bet will earn you UltimatePoints.
These points can be used to earn bonuses, shop at their new store, enter special tournaments, or even convert to cash (if their promotion is running). Ultimate points are earned at ring tables or for playing tournaments at a fixed rate: If the rake is $.05 - $.20, you earn 0.10 UltimatePoints, $.25 - $.45, 0.25 UltimatePoints, $.50 - $3, 0.5 UltimatePoints. You also earn 6 UltimatePoints for every $1 in tournament entry fees. There are many ways to up the amount of points that you earn. You also earn 1 point every hour of ring play at any level, and this is paid by the minute. So if you played 4 tables for 3.5 hours, you would earn 13.5 UltimatePoints in addition to what you earned while playing (can earn a max of 500 this way per month). You also earn 25% more points if you are the first one to start a table, for the entire time you stay at the table.
UltimateBet also
recently opened their own UB store, and you can purchase items with your UltimatePoints. They offer anything from clothing, to iPods, digital cameras, televisions, watches, and even golf clubs! The amount of points required to purchase items seems pretty outrageous, and much higher compared to other online point stores.

UltimateBet Texas Hold'em Table
Ultimate Bet.com Software Interface/Usability
's software interface,
in my opinion, is the best poker interface in existence.
UltimateBet's look is very crisp and attractive, without too much distraction. And most
importantly, UltimateBet does not give up any responsiveness by having a nice design. The
interface is very quick and smooth, which helps keep the game moving.
Another great feature of UltimateBet is that when you take any seat at the table, the
perspective rotates so that you are always sitting at the bottom center of the table. Since I always play multiple tables at once, you could lose track
of which seat you're on at which table (ie - bottom right on one, top left on another, etc.)
With UltimateBet, you are always seated at the center. UltimateBet was one of the first online rooms to offer this preferred seating feature, which almost all the big rooms offer now.
UltimateBet has options for a four color deck, to help see the different suits easier,
an option to show the pot value (which really helps me), and a nice little option
to change the backgrounds (ie - Las Vegas, underwater, etc.)
UltimateBet also has a mini-view version of the poker table. This takes some getting used
to, but the mini-view basically shows you the pertinent information without a big poker table
in the screen. So, this will allow you to play multiple tables without taking up all of
your monitor's display.
Also, with recent software upgrades they now offer resizeable tables. You can make them as large or as small as you want/need, and can fit many on any size monitor. This is great for people who like to multi-table with only one monitor. One other minor little tweak that was recently made was their card graphics. They updated the look of them so they can be more easily read.
UB has offered quite a few new features and side games to their software. They are constantly updating their software, and document the progress on their website, which usually makes a decent upgrade once per month.
One of the best feature offered on any poker site today is the Ultimate Buddy. This has been around for a while, but has gone through many upgrades and changes making it much better. This is an enhance buddy list system, which allows you to keep track of your friends, but importantly, the fish! You will be notified when any of your friends (or fish) sign on and join a game. You can also use it to take advanced notes, and customize special options such as assign different sounds for each player added.
Ultimate Bet also has started offering non-poker games to attract the degenerate in us all. You can play single/multi player blackjack and they even offer blackjack tournaments. These tournaments are growing in popularity lately as it makes the game that much more exciting because you play against the players, as opposed to the dealer. They also offer Roshambo, yes rock-paper-scissors. There is absolutely no skill in this (well besides remembering patterns?) and you can play for a little as $.10 per round to as high as $10. So if you feel like gambling, there is nothing better than a little Roshambo for money!
Up until recently, there had been some problems with hand histories at . You had to keep the window open during gameplay, and now that is not the case. You can have them instantly downloaded to your desktop. You can save these files to your computer and use them with Poker Tracker or other documenting programs. Also, they upgraded their viewer with a playback feature. You just have to press the "hand history" button to bring up the viewer.
UltimateBet.com Poker Room Action
has a decent player base. There is usually enough action to shop some tables and pick your game.
UltimateBet will
typically have 15,000-30,000 players, depending on the day and time you play. Most of this traffic is around the mid stakes cash game, which has a much larger player base than their tournaments.
There are enough players and tables to practice some good table selection at UB. And with the addition of the UltimateBuddy program (explained above), it can really help you select the right tables to make the most money.
Ultimate Bet.com Customer and Technical Support
Ultimate Bet's support was decent, but their responses seen to take too long. I had sent them a few e-mails with some technical problems I was having with their site and the responses I received were very helpful. They explained all of my problems in detail of how to fix them. The only problem was each e-mail took over two days to receive. This is much too long in the online poker world today and other sites answer in under one hour. They also offer a live chat feature in the software, but I had never used it. UB offers live chat, or e-mail for their support:
E-mail: support@ultimatebet.com
UltimateBet's Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating
UltimateBet has a mix of decent players and very poor players. I would say their fish rating lies right about average with most online sites today. As a mid-stakes player myself, the games felt pretty easy, and you will notice a few multi-tabling nut campers. But for being a site that still takes US players, it's definitely profitable and seems a lot looser than Full Tilt or other US sites today. Don't be afraid, look and you will find the fish (or just add them to your Ultimate Buddy list!)
UltimateBet.com Bonus and Promotions
has just upgraded their bonus offer
and now provide a 111% initial deposit bonus for up to $1111 bonus dollars! So if you have an extra $1000 laying around in your roll, this is a HUGE bonus you should take advantage of.
You earn your bonus dollars at the rate of $1 for
every 10 UltimatePoints your earn. UltimateBet has added Sit n Go's and Tournament fees
to the UltimatePoint program, so tourney players can earn the bonus dollars now.
Here is how points are earned from the Ultimate Bet website:
• Bonus Dollars will be converted to real money for play on the site at the rate of $1 for every 10 UltimatePoints™ you earn at our Raked Ring Game tables.
• Bonus Dollars will be converted to real money for play on the site at the rate of $1 for every 30 UltimatePoints™ you earn at our Sit 'n Gos and Tournaments.
UltimatePoints for each raked hand will be earned as follows: If the rake is $.05 - $.20, you earn 0.10 UltimatePoints, $.25 - $.45, 0.25 UltimatePoints, $.50 - $3, 0.5 UltimatePoints. You also earn 6 UltimatePoints for every $1 in tournament entry fees.
So as you can see, this bonus can be quite the grind. If you were to take advantage of the full $1,111, you would need to eatn a total of 11,000 UltimatePoints. This would be impossibley frustrating at anything lower than 100nl in my opinion, so I would wait until you can handle those limits. UltimateBet also allows you to use your UltimatePoints to purchase merchandise in their new store, which was explained above.
UltimateBet offers high hand jackpots to its players. All you have to do is have the highest hand in the 90 minute
timeframe, and you can win a piece of the jackpot. This is a nice little extra that UltimateBet gives back to
its players.
Only post commentary in your review. If you have questions about the poker room or would like to start a discussion, please post in our Online Poker Rooms forum.

UB has far too many high powered hands.
Poor players stay in on nothing and are
rewarded for their idiocy. I don't see
these hands on other sites. One of the
worst sites on the internet.

Interface/Usability - not bad
Poker room action - plenty of tables
Technical support - The worst I've
seen. Some support personnel do not know
know how this site actually works.
Response to collusion - Good, assuming
the players concerned do not have Real
Money accounts. If they do, then reports
of collusion are ignored.
Ease of Game - Difficult at best.
Bonus/promotions - should be a lot
better

Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
UB has a cool 100% bonus to $650, it
takes a long time, I guess it takes
longer than some other rooms but I like
playing here and I like getting free
money! I haven't had cash out problems
cuz I do the bank wire, although I did
have to contact support once cuz they
needed a bunch of information regarding
the bank to wire to, but their input box
was too small to type everyting in!
stupid. Support was kinda weak, just
like many others mentioned previously.
But back to the poker - fun site, cool
graphics and interface, smooth, no
disconnects, and you get points that you
can use to purchase UB stuff. I like
this site.
“Cashing Out Update - No Problems” by friver, 23 May 2007
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
Thought I'd chime in and give an update
on my own experiences with cashing out
from UB. I reside in the US so many, if
not all, the US friendly rooms have had
problems with cashing in and cashing out
to US people. Many of the problems are
not the fault of the poker rooms
themselves, but that doesn't matter, we
want our cash when we want it. I've
found that UB actually has a great
feature for cashing out - using a wire
transfer directly to my bank account.
This has been working very well for me,
is quite fast, and one of a few rooms
that can do this. Absolute just removed
this cash out feature. So, I've been
able to use my e-wallets to deposit into
UB, but then I wire transfer back out
whenever I want to. I hope they can
keep this feature because I'm finding
it the absolute best method for me.
Still loving the UB interface, and I
still like the action here. I won't be
leaving any time soon.

An update on the cashout problems.
Well, after over three months the failed
withdrawals were refunded into my
account. It seems that they have been
having problems communicating with their
bank due to the U.S. legislation.
Although I was disappointed in the
customer service, they more than
compensated with a $200 free buy in to a
$200,000 guaranteed event, as well as an
entry to a private $5,000 event. For
future withdrawals I plan to use
ePassporte. From what I have heard that
is the most dependable for U.S. players.
“Cashout Problems” by AcesSuited, 07 Apr 2007
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
I have played at this site for three
years and never had a problem with
withdrawals. Recently I had two check
withdrawals that were never received.
They amount to $150. When I contacted
support they said both checks were
"lost in the mail" , a stop payment
was to be made, and they would return
the funds to my account. They now say
that both withdrawals were canceled
before processing, and the funds were
never deducted from my account. I saved
the emails confirming the withdrawals
were indeed processed, forwarded them to
support, and they are now just giving me
the run around. They won't acknowledge
that the emails they sent confirming the
withdrawals exists even though I
forwarded them both emails. I am
certain the funds were taken out and
certain they were never returned. This
is huge disappointment because the
software is so great. I am trying to
withdrawal the rest of my account and I
don't know what to expect. I'm trying
to get used to pokerstars now, but I
really dislike their interface. I have
never heard of anyone having these
withdrawal problems, so it was really
surprising when it happened. The
customer support is terrible(no phone or
live support), so resolving this issue
seems impossible.

I learned a lot here, in fact I was like
a 10 bracelot winner when I left here.
I was talking to myself like Phil
Helmuth does when he gets a bad beat. I
learned that if I flop two pair I should
just fold it because someone will beat
me with a better hand 5 of 6 times, lol.
I guess I had bad luck. The interface
was the best, the bonus great, it
deposits as soon as u leave the table.
however, in my book it is speed poker,
you get 7-15 seconds to play your hand
or it is folded. Also, be careful with
the 5-10 cent limit hold em, the rack is
ten percent. The Tourney info is
extreme, tells u anything and
everything, like who is in first second
and third and what place u are, much
info, constantly updated. Personally I
prefer almost all the other sites I've
been on to this site though.

company who's Technical/Customer
Support was so "AWFUL". For an
internet game that involves "$$$" they
do not have the courtesy of offering any
"Online support" or "telephone

playing with their software "THEIR"

sensitive to "THEIR" customers or get
out of business. "UltimateBet" WHAT A

Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
I used to play at ongame, and it was a
ton easier to make money there, but was
forced out because of frist/politics.
-people play better, and are more aware
and tricky/aggressive. there are more
tags/good-lags and less fish.
-it's annoying/hard to use poker
tracker.
-they give no countdown clock, so you
will randomly time out without noticing
and get auto-folded. this can cost a
lot if you're making 2-3 major
decisions then time out for a big pot or
two.
-only half my emails to support were
answered, and they have no
phone-support. some of the answers did
not answer my original question and took
days/weeks...annoying service.
there are good aspects - very nice
interface with a convenient "bet pot"
button, and fast paced action (so more
hands per hour), but this doesn't
outweight the other stuff.
ub sucks. the end.

First of all, thier "customer

it's not even there as far as I know.
They only post an e-mail address but
they don't respond. So if you have a
problem, you're sh*t outta luck.
I like the way the bonuses work, you're
credited instantly which is nice. The
software is good cause it's speed but
it has a lot of annoying little
features. I wish they had more playing
but it's not that bad.
Overall, it's a nice place it visit,
but I wouldn't wanna live there.

i cant see the positives outweighing the
negatives here. very high maintanence
set up if you multi-table. have to
download and old "patch" file to keep
the HH window open for more than 5 hands
just so your "handgrabber-type"
software will continue to auto-import
your hands. hard to build bigger pots,
as it seems the others wont payoff
unless they have something, too. bonus,
if you like them, takes FOREVER to
clear. however, it never expires, so
there's no real rush to clear it at
stakes "above your head."

They say you never forget your first. UB
was the first online poker room for me.
Now it's the only poker room for me.
I've tried PokerStars and looked at
Party but I don't think they compare.
The GUI is both awesome and classic in
these days where every site is awash in
annoying banners and active content. UB
has a little of that but they tuck it
into the bottom left corner where it's
easy to ignore. The bottom center view
corresponds to how you'd see a round
poker table in the B&M world. I've
heard complaints about the bet totals
not being shown but if you roll your
mouse over the stack being bet the total
pops up. In addition, the option to show
the running pot total can be selected on
the options page. The Stats button is
easy to find and easy to read, I use it
to fill in my spreadsheet that tracks my
play after each session. Ditto for the
hand history.
Their connectivity is excellent. In
perhaps 1000 hours of play I've lost
connection maybe 6 times. Most of those
are attrbutable to my home network. If
your CPU was made in this century you
will have no problem. For reasons I
won't get into here, I remote desktop
from my state of the art notebook to my
home fileserver where the UB software
lives which is a P3 500mhz with only
256MB ram and an 802.11b connection to
the cable modem and only experience a
nearly imperceptible slowdown. The
bonuses mean next to nothing to me so I
won't comment. I rarely play a tourney
of any kind so I'll pass on that as
well. To wrap up, if you just want to
play full table ring poker I highly
recommend Ultimate Bet!

LOVE the interface when center seating,
especially when playing multple games.
HATE the new waiting list for S&G's
because you can no longer play multiples
of those. Lots of action and many of the
same people playing the same games.
GREAT notes system with multi color
balls for different types of player
notes. Player notes are on their
computer so you have the same notes no
matter which computer you are using,
unlike many other sites where the notes
are stored on your computer so they are
really messed up if you play from more
than one computer. Although recently I
have been spending a lot of time on
Doyles room would still have to rate UB
as the BEST overall.

“Great Site” by Les_Worm, 06 Dec 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
At first I wasn't a real big fan of UB
maily because I couldn't get used to
them not displaying bet amounts on the
tables in their cash games. Once I got
used to that I have fallen in love with
the site. Their cashgames have a great
mix of fish and good players. Their
support seems friendly and quickly
responds to e-mail. I haven't played
any MTT yet but their SNG structure is
IMO the best out there. The blinds
raise slowly and you start with a big
stack so it favors good post flop play.
You have the option to fold hands face
up if you are heads up in a pot and that
is a cool feature I don't think anyone
else offers. The software is slick and
gives you options to change the
backgroud. Unfortunatetly you aren't
able to change your table view so you
are always sitting in the bottom center
seat. One thing that I really like is
they offer a 'mini view' of the table
which makes it really easy to multitable
with no overlap. This is espeically
nice for me since I don't have
1600x1200 resolution. The bonus is slow
but at least they have one. You can
also use your points for cool stuff in
their store or to enter tournaments the
only problem is that it takes a long
time to earn points unless you play on
their tables where they use player
points as currency. Overall this is
probably one of my favorite sites and I
think I'll be playing on it for a
while.
“UB alright sometimes” by 3xdope, 10 Oct 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
I will start by saying that this is the
easiest site to look at for me . I have
played at the other sites and the
frontal card view works best. The mini
view is also a plus, especially for
multiple game play. Although the
disconnects and stalls still do occur
the action is fast and plenty. The
sysytem does reward veteran players over
newer players, but the newer players get
the pleasure of the hands that almost
never happen to insure exciting play.
The sit and go mode has the best set up
of all the sites. The amount of tourneys
is a good thing. Heads up play seems to
be a mystery. More often than not the
best player wins barring the occasional
suck out. As far as securities measures
go this site seems to have less cheaters
than most
“UB Flaws” by Snaggle, 20 Aug 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
Ultimate bet deserves all th praise it
has received in the other
reviews.however,it has some huge flaws
mainly hardware related.Ultimate bet has
overtaxed hardware which causes random
disconnects.I've played there with high
and low speed cable and dsl and it had
this problem with all of them.I had it
disconnect me when I was playing Ajs and
hit two pair on the flop and also when I
clicked fold with only a gutshot draw
only not to fold and win the pot because
of the disconnect.If you're playing
here without enough ram on the machine
you'll experience constant freeze ups
and might experience the worse bug at
UB-invisible cards or seeing just one of
your cards-these were fairly common when
I was playing on her windows me rig with
only 63mb of ram.My own webstation has
Xp pro and enough ram never to
experience these "bugs" bugs at UB;but
if you're playing on a truely old pc
ignore their extremely optimist system
requiremens-I would not play there if
you have less than 256MB.
The next huge problem is the random
card generator is not random enough. It
has a greater than normal tendency to
deal pocket pairs.I've seen five dealt
in one hand:to deal one the same pockets
again and again out of the same
seat(watch who has the hot seats at Ub
and take them when they're open). This
is exremely annoying occasionally(I've
flopped a full house with the high wired
set only to be facing quads three times
in the same day!).It also has cold/rag
seats out of which one never gets good
pockets in hours of play-unless your
definition of "good' is the same as
Gus Hansen's.
The next flaw with ub is their constant
spamming of your email account and their
very annoying popups and pop behind. The
second can't be gotten rid of and the
first will haunt you as long as you play
with cookies disabled-so you either have
to enable cookies everytime before you
go there or suffer their annoying pop
ups.
Despite the flaws UB is still a great
place to play and deserves three and a
half to four and a half stars.

“UB seems fine.” by 1492, 19 May 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
Only played a few days on UB, won a
little more than I lost but had luck
both ways. Interface seems good and
bonus, although a little slower than
Party, is fine if you are playing on
higher stakes tables where the rake is
usually $1 or more per hand. Fewer games
than Party so you can't always find
enough games if you multi-table. The
standard seems a little higher too,
which I prefer because sometimes its
difficult to read some of the more
optimistic Party players.
Just wanted to point out to the earlier
poster that if you have KK, the odds
someone else has AA at the same 10
handed table is 25-1 (9 players at 220-1
per player), not 2700-1. Your maths,
rather than any conspiracy by the
ultimate bet software, might be a better
explanation of your losses.

I have nearly 20 mil play chips in each
of my 5 accounts.

ABSOLUTELY HATE THE BONUS
STRUCTURE.....So much so, that I have
left over $100 of bonus money in my acct
and prob wont work too hard to go get
it, on principal alone.
Software is pretty damn fast,
Good amount of idiots and fishers, but
usually find 2 decent players at table
of ten.
Have yet to find a site that can match
UB's variety in the Amount and types of
Holdem games being played.
Bad cards come in long streaks it seems,
but good cards tend be hot for one or
two peops in the sngo's.
“UB is a class act” by Jeremiah, 17 Mar 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
I have been playing a lot of on line
poker in the past two years. During
that time I hit a lot of sites. Each
time I come back to UB. They have the
best looking site and software that is
fast and reliable. The support is
fantastic (they called me in 15 minutes
when I logged a complaint). Cash outs
are fast. There are enough fish to make
steady money but not so many that the
strategy leaves the game (that is my
experience at party). Also, the note
taking (saves your notes and can color
code players) is incredibly helpful for
remembering players habits over the long
term.
If you are looking for giant swings
based on luck, try party poker. If you
want to hone your poker skills with a
more realistic table make up, play UB.
Oh, and those that talk about Bots or
rigged software at UB also believe Hoffa
killed Kennedy. I've cashed out
thousands from 3-6 on UB and have been
on both sides of some bad beats and
streaks. No site that makes this much
money is going to risk their reputation
on rigged software.
“Pretty good site” by Daniel, 03 Mar 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
Ultimate Bet is a pretty good site with
fast software, good game selection and
lots of easy games with good action.
There is no delay waiting for the cards
to be shuffled and dealt, which was a
minor issue I had with Paradise Poker
(when you're playing thousands of
hands, minor delays can translate into
large differences in profit), so the
action is pretty fast. The wide range
of stakes for which you can play is
accomodating to just about any bankroll.
You can play anywhere from $.02/$.04 no
limit, to $25/$50 no limit. Also, a lot
of the players are very bad which makes
for lots of easy games, even at the
medium-stakes level.
The only complaint I have with this site
is with the software. At least 5 times
in the past couple weeks my computer has
just abruptly frozen while playing a few
tables on this site. This has never
happened before, and only happens when
I'm using their software.

Greatest software there is. There are a
perfect number of tables and total
players. There are almost as much fish
here at Party Poker. Best poker room
there is. Customer Support is the best I
have encountered. UltimatePoints and
their Promotions are great. Best by
far.

I have played at UB for a long time now,
and it seems like a very user friendly
interface. Most of my skill has been
developed on these tables. I would
suggest to anyone that wants to learn
how to play poker (other than reading a
few books, which I etremely suggest)
will have a fun time playing with the
play money in this cardroom. However,
you can not play a play money "Sit &
Go" without first depositing some real
money, which is a real shame.
“Inferior Bonus Structure” by anon, 20 Jan 2005
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
I've played almost one hundred thousand
hands of online poker at PokerRoom and
Empire Poker (combined) and made a fair
amount of money in the process. I played
2500 hands at UB before deciding to move
on. I play mostly very early in the
morning and there are mostly sharks at
the $25 and $50 buy-in no limit tables
when I play at UB. Even with 2500 raked
hands under my belt at UB I have only
redeemed $68 in bonus dollars at UB
because it takes so long to earn their
bonuses (relative to
PokerRoom/Empire/Party). They pay the
bonus a little at a time rather than all
at once after some number of raked hands
(like Party/Empire/PokerRoom). I've no
doubt there is money there to be made
during normal hours, but for me it is
simply less profitable than the
aforementioned online poker sites. I
suggest Empire/Party or PokerRoom as
their bonuses are equal in size and FAR
easier to earn, and Empire/Party boast
FAR more players at all hours. I'm back
to Empire/Party as this site suggests.
Best of luck!

I HAD THE ULTIMATE OF BAD BEATS AND
DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO EXPLORE OTHER
OPTIONS OTHER THAN PACIFIC POKER.
FIRST OF ALL I HAVE TRIED EVERY SINGLE
ONLINE CASINO IN THIS TOP TEN IN THE
LAST WEEK...ITS HOW I SPEND MY VACATIONS
OK.
WELL ANYWAYS THE SINGLE FACT IS THAT
THEIR TOURNEYS AND CASHOUTS ARE MUCH
BETTER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE AND THE GAMES
LOOK AND PLAY GREAT.
THE THING THAT IS BAD ABOUT THEM IS
THEIR NO CUSTOMER SERVICE RULE. THESE
GUYS MADE THE DMV LOOK GOOD. THEIR
SYSTEMS WOULD GO DOWN ALL THE TIME.
THEY INTRODUCED THESE NEW 75000 WEEKEND
TOURNEY S AND SURE ENOUGH YOU ARENT EVEN
AT THE FIRST HOUR BEFORE THE GAME GETS
TURNED OFF AND EVERYONE IS OUT.
NOW LIKE SOMEONE ELSE SAID THEY WILL PAY
YOU OUT...I WAS IN EITHENTH PLACE WITH
ABOUT 80 PEOPLE LEFT IN THE TOURNEY AND
I GOT MY 450 BUCKS WHEN I ASKED FOR
IT...BUT HELL I WANTED TO WIN IT ALL AND
WASNT HAPPY WITH IT.
I MUST BE PARANOID BUT MY CONSTANT
COMPLAING TO THEM THAT THEY HAD TO
UPGRADE THEIR SERVERS COST ME A REAL BAD
RUN...THE FINALLY WAS A FLOP OF KING SIX
SIX WHEN I HAD POCKENT KINGS...AND I
LOST TO FOUR OF A KIND SIXES AFTER HE
CALLED MY 28500 BET WITH SIX JACK...
CAN YOU SAY PEEVED...ANYWAYS THAT WAS IT
AND I LEFT...ALOT OF FISH AT PACIFIC
POKER YEAH I AGREE THEY MADE ME RICH
THATS A GOOD THING NOT A BAD THING...ARE
THE TOURNEYS SECOND TO NONE...ABSOLUTELY
NOT ONLY IN FREQUENCY AND PAYOUTS BUT
THEY DO THEM WITH STYLE.
IT LOOKS GOOD AND ITS CLASSY AND NOT
FULL OF EFFECTS THAT LOOK LIKE A
SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON LIKE ULTIMATE
POKERSTARS AND ESPECIALLY PARTYPOKER
DOES.
JUST DONT TAKL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE I
FIGURE THEY ARE RESPONSIBE FOR 5 TO SIX
HUNDRED DOLLARS IN LOST WINNNINGS DUE TO
THEIR INABILITY TO RESOLVE ANY ISSUE. I
LITERALLY PUNCHED MY LAPTOP AFTER
TALKING TO THEM ABOUT ONE INCIDENT ...A
2000 MISTAKE.
BUT I ALWAYS COME BACK...CAUSE ITS FUN
THE PLAYERS ARE GOOD MIX AND IT JUST
PLAYS BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
AND DONT EXPECT ANY BONUSES AFTER THE
FIRST DEPOSITS CAUSE THEY DONT EXIST
TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE 25% MATCH
THEY GIVE AT FIRST...PUT THE 400 IN AT
FIRST AND GET ALL 100 OUT OF THEM..
OH AND IF YOU SEE ME THERE SAY HELLO
...AND THEN FOLD TO ME
LATER BOYS
“Limited Tournies” by ChapLips, 28 Dec 2004
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
This is only the second online casino
I've tried (after Pacific Poker). My
only gripe is that the ring games and
tournies are limited, so it is almost
impossible for me to get into a low
stakes tournament, and at times I even
have to wait awhile for ring games.
On the plus side, you can get deposit
bonuses after the initial deposit, you
can play multiple tables at once.
The way the bonus dollars work is
neither good or bad.

definitely better than Party but less
than Stars.
“I'm a UB man.” by Alhazred, 28 Oct 2004
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
The interface is one of the best on the
market. Though I miss the function key
shortcuts of pokerroom.com, the
all-mouse interface is not too demanding
and button-choices are clear and quite
secure from misclicks.
The action is great at most times, but
when one wants to play at some of the
middle/high limits, sometimes getting a
game started can be tough. Also, and
with lower limits as well, late
night/early morning games can take a
while to amass enough players to start a
Sit-N-Go. Otherwise the action is great
and overall I never have a problem
finding a game.
I've used customer support on a few
occasions and I've never had a problem
with the service. They were very fast in
replying, and very clear, and I never
felt unsatisfied with their replies to
me. Also, shipping occured very fast
when I cashed in some of my points to
order products.
There are almost nothing but fish at the
micro-limit tables. Even up to the 5
dollar SNG's there are a lot of fish;
mostly players who watch the final table
play on travel channel and think
they're the next Gus Hansen. But at
around the 5 dollar mark, players can
play quite well. Strange as it may seem,
play at the UB-point SNGs is more
behaved and more advanced than the $5
and under real money games. I prefer to
play against good players, and UB
satisfies me in this respect.
The bonus dollars you can earn at first
glance seem kind of bogus: $1 is reaped
only after earning 10 UBPoints. But in
reality this is a pretty good buffer
against the house's cut and at decent
limits the points come fast. Bonus
dollars can be earned for free (as well
as points) at all times of the day at
the site's consistent array of
freerolls and UBP multi tourneys. I have
over $230 in bonus bucks and I haven't
deposited a single dime. With the
freerolls for cash the site offers
occasionally, I've built my bankroll to
over a thousand dollars--also without
ever depositing a dime. And because of
UBP's that can be wagered themselves in
SNG and ring games and multi-tourneys,
I've earned quite a few "perks": 2
hats, 2 books, a deck of cards, turbo
wilson software, and next, another book
I'm saving up for. Well, well worth
it.
I've played a few sites out there, and
I've settled on Ultimatebet.com. It's
my home.
“Best software around” by Staple Gun, 25 Oct 2004
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
Ultimate bet is a fairly good poker
room. It has all the usual games
(holdem, 7-card, 7-card hilo, Omaha,
Omaha hilo) but some nice extra's
include pinapple and Triple draw
lowball. There is also a high hand
jackpot every 90 minutes if your lucky.
I havnt played at too many other sites
so i'm not sure exactly how it compares
with bonuses but from ads ive seen it
offers much less than other places. The
main point at UB is the software. It
has a first person view and a show hand
option. Plus many options to change the
settings of the room. The lobbyshows
stats like avg. pot and hands per hr.
but usually it seems they are not that
helpful.
“Not much to dislike” by jmrogers7, 08 Oct 2004
Interface: Action: Support: Fish: Bonus:
INTERFACE: First off, I have played at 9
different online poker sites thus far.
Of those 9, UB definitely has the
slickest user interface (IMHO).
Pleasing to the eyes, all the
call/raise/fold options that you need
are there. They offer a simple and
easily readable instant hand history
right from the table so no need to wait
for an email to check that last hand.
They have a pretty slick "mini-view"
feature as well so multi-tabling is made
much simpler. although not as good as
the mini-view offered by some of the
Prima Network rooms (Royal Vegas and
Gaming Club specifically) it is
definteily something that I believe
every poker room should have on their
list of updates.
ACTION/EASE OF GAME: The players that UB
offers are probably as agood a mix as
you could ask for. To me there are just
the right amount of fish and descent
players to make for many good tables.
They seem to have stalled as far as new
players joining up but there are still
plenty of players around for plenty of
action.
TECH/CUSTOMER SUPPORT: In my rare
instances that I needed customer support
from UB, their people responded
courteously and promptly.
BONUS: Here is the one place that I
don't care for UB at all. The bonuses
are structured in such a way that you
must earn so many "Ultimate Points" to
release your bonus. The bonus is also
released "as you go" based on how many
points that you've earned. You earn $1
of bonus for every 10 points. So, if
you've played your session for the
night and you've earned 25 points you
will have $2.50 released immediately
into your account. This is a
psychological point for me in that I
would rather see the entire nbonus
released into my account after I have
earned it and don't really care for
this structure at all. I am a big
proponent of just requiring a player to
play X amount of raked hands to release
the bonus.
OVERALL: The interface and action is
what keeps me coming back here from time
to time. The bonuses are actually
almost a deterant for me.

The slickest poker interface out there.
I learned much of my game here at
UltimateBet at the $.10-.25 No Limit
tables. Good mixture of decent players
and fish. Offers micro-limits and a 20%
percent initial deposit bonus. Too bad
it takes so much work to earn those
bonuses.
