They have decent action, offer a huge range of stakes, and offer a separate application called UltimateBuddy, which is an excellent friend/fish finder.
  • BEATS: Earning the bonus dollars can be painfully slow at UltimateBet. Recently, there have been several reports of cashout and support issues.

UB Room Review

Ultimate Bet.com Overview

is the home of poker pros Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth.

Ultimate Bet also sponsors the Aruba Poker Classic - a No-limit Texas Hold'em event held on a beautiful Caribbean island. This will be the eighth year in a row that Ultimate Bet has sponsored the tournament at the luxurious Radisson Aruba Resort and Casino.

Ultimate Bet online poker is operated out of Quebec, Canada by Tokwiro Enterprises Enrg. They are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

offers a great variety of games. They have Texas Hold’em (No-limit, Pot, and Limit), Omaha (Limit and Pot-limit), Omaha 8/b (Limit and Pot-limit), 7 Card Stud/8b, Razz, and the slightly unconventional H.O.R.S.E. and H.O.S.E. They also have a variety of Sit & Go tournaments as well as scheduled ones. Some of these tournaments, along with their smaller games, may have little to no traffic on them. Ultimate Bet makes up for any lack of players with an incredible range of stakes to choose from. You can play Hold’em starting as low as $.01-$.02 up to $500-$1000 at the Limit tables. From the extreme micro-stakes up to the large wagers almost anybody can ease into online play or at the least find the right challenge for their level.

Most people at the ring tables are at the mid-stake $.25 and $.50 blind level. Both 6-max shorthanded and full ring (10 max) have a lot of full tables. During a recent weekday evening there were nearly 30 full tables of $.50 - $1, and 20 of $1 - $2, so if these stakes are in your range finding a table will be no problem.

Sit and Go traffic is not as popular as their cash games, especially if you play high stakes. Most games are $33 and below, but we noticed about five $55 and a few $109s running. They offer regular, turbo, ultra turbo, heads-up, and different satellites. The blind structure for the ultra turbo games escalate every 2 minutes, meaning tournaments usually end quickly, around a half hour after starting.

UltimateBet is becoming a lot more popular for their multi-table tournaments. They have a different tournament starting around every 10-15 minutes. Throughout the day you will see a range of buy-ins from $1 + $.10 up to $1000 + $50. The tournament fields are on the low side, with the most popular being the nightly $10 - $30 buy-ins. Their Sunday tournament is also much larger than in the past, with a $215 buy-in and a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Lately, the number of players in this event has grown a lot, which may raise the guarantee sometime in the near future. Along with the weekly $200k they also offer many other guaranteed tournaments, from $2500-$5000 ($6+$.60 buy-in) up to $60,000-$120,000 (freeroll).

Ultimate Bet has a modest selection of freerolls. Their no buy-in tournaments include daily $50 events along with a weekly $1000. There are also numerous UB Point freerolls.

UB also has a unique points system called ‘RAI$E’ that allows players to reach different levels, which in turn unlocks some extra bonuses. Here’s how it works:

- You can only earn points through real money games.
- Ultimate Points are redeemed at a rate of $.007 per point.
- Players must meet the minimum/maximum redemption amounts to qualify. The poker room managers periodically update these amounts.
- Your account is automatically debited the number of points used.

These points also allow you to reach three different status levels referred to as: Contender, Legend, and Icon. Contenders receive a point multiplier of 3x and must have 500 monthly points to qualify. They can receive periodic reload bonuses (getting extra money back for playing in real money games) and an extra $75 Refer-A-Friend bonus. They can also transfer money freely to Absolute Poker in order to maximize profits. Lastly, they can redeem points for up to $50 monthly.

Legend players receive a point multiplier of 4x and need 2500 monthly points to qualify. This status has everything that the Contender has, plus: exclusive tournament invites, VIP Host (a personal representative on the site), cash for points up to $250, and a 10% discount on all store merchandise.

Finally, they have the Icon status. This level has a multiplier of 5x and needs 10,000 monthly points to qualify. Once again this resembles the Legend benefits except for: cash for points up to $1000; a 9% per annum interest bearing account on average daily balances greater than $1000; exclusive invitations (like playing with Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke); and poker trips to the best tournaments. If you are up to it, this is one heck of a deal!

To see complete details on Ultimate Bet's RAI$E Program, click this link to check out our UB RAI$E page which describes the entire program.

also recently opened their own UB Store and you can purchase items with your UltimatePoints. They offer anything from clothing to iPods; digital cameras; televisions; watches; and even golf clubs! However, the amount of points required to purchase items seems pretty outrageous and much higher compared to other online point stores.

i'm not here to complain about bad beats. i used to love ultimate bet. one day i was playing and the bad beat jackpot hit the level i was playing and i got 140 something bucks out of it. i used to refer everyone to ultimatebet.com. then one day after many successful deposits and withdrawals i couldn't log in. they didn't know why but then they said i had to validate my account. i didn't understand why it would need to be validated after all of my deposits and withdrawals but they insisted. they wanted a copy of a utility bill, drivers license, and credit card. i'm surprised they didn't ask for a stool sample. well this started about 2 months ago and i'm still sending them my information and they're still saying that they aren't getting it or that it's too blurry to read. they've already threatened to just close my account and keep whats in it. i'm guessing they're hoping i just give up. so if you really need to play online poker i recommend staying away ultimate bet and their poor business practices so that you don't get screwed over like me. also they don't like it when people call so i figured i'd share the phone number for ultimatebet.com. it's 1 877 887 6537.

I won't go into how I believe the flops are juiced and true odds are thrown right out the window but this message is about trying to get my money out of UB. They simple make excuses why I can't have MY money. It is only $126 so no big deal but it is the principle. UB told me that if I deposit more money then I could withdraw it all at once at a later date. Isn't that a little like throwing a piece of meat to a lion and then asking for it back? What is to keep them from keeping my new deposit as well? My friend in New York had the same problem so it is just not me. BEWARE!!!!
