The first thing you’ll notice when visiting is that it is a European-based poker room. There is not any US currency used and that can be confusing. However, if you’ve been playing poker for a while you know that it isn’t the currency that matters. To join 24hPoker you must first visit the website to signup before downloading the program. The signup process is very easy; however purchasing chips is a little more complicated. Because 24hpoker.com has a casino too, you are purchasing chips for the poker room and the casino. One must first purchase chips, (after calculating the conversion rate from USD to EURO), then transfer those chips into the poker room. This transaction is fairly easy but requires that one extra step most other poker sites avoid.
The poker room is operated by Entraction Operation Ltd (former 24hPAY Ltd) of Malta and provides efficient gaming in cooperation with various software suppliers. There is a good spread of games and their software is nice and crisp and runs smoothly. Some of the poker rooms pluses are:

24h Poker.com Software Interface/Usability
The interface is one of a kind. 24h Poker isn’t a skin of another website. They are actually their own poker room. The interface is blue with gray features to accent it. The lobby and rooms are very easy to navigate. All the different cash games and types of games are separated by tabs on top of the screen as you can see in the lobby picture. Although it is now called ‘a part of the Entraction Poker network’, this is also referred to as ‘the 24hPoker network’ because originally 24hPoker was the only skin. Now it shares its traffic with many other online poker rooms.
The most popular game is No-limit Texas Hold’em but 24h Poker has a very good spread of games. They offer Omaha Hi and Hi/Lo, Seven-Card Stud Hi and Hi/Lo, Soko (a Five-Card Stud variation) and Draw Poker. The Draw Poker traffic is excellent and 24hPoker is the world leader in that field.
One gripe about the interface is the tournament section. When looking at tournament info there are a lot of tabs but a pop-up window shows all the information. Most poker players are used to having all the info on one page, like at Pokerstars or Paradise.

Tournaments at always fill up fairly fast and there is a nice selection, including turbos. If you’re coming from Pokerstars, this will be familiar and comforting to you. As for the players, they aren’t very good. In fact we won the first tournament we tried, and the players were your typical fish. The blind structure starts out at 10/25 with 1000 starting chips.
Although lacking a huge amount of traffic on 24hPoker.com, there is enough for the average poker player. One huge liability is that the software cannot handle more than 1200-1400 tournament players at a time. But as long as the traffic is lower than that it runs efficiently and there is healthy competition. The number of real money tournament players is generally about 600-900 at peak hours. The clientele is mainly European.
At peak hours well over 1,500 real money ring game players visit this poker room. The Texas Hold’em section draws most of the traffic but 24H has a wide variety of games. The draw poker games (5-Card-Draw and Triple Draw Lowball) are actually the most trafficked in the world.

The ring games are full of fish! When we played against the players at regular level stakes they were terrible. They call down, and pay off players left and right. Expect to win here if you play against these guys. There are a lot of loose callers and players who play every hand, or like to “see a flop.”

We sent them an email at 8am in the morning and got one back at 3pm. We asked whether or not there is a Sunday tournament like on Pokerstars and what the blind structure / guaranteed prize pool was. Here is their response:
Yes, from this week and on there will be a EUR300 tournament. Guaranteed prize
pool of at least EUR20 000, but it will probably be at least EUR30.000, since
there will be satellites everyday to the Sunday tourney. The blind structure is
the usual one, but with more starting chips and 15 minute periods instead of
