NUTS: Poker Time offers new players $10 free as well as a nice 100% up to $500 deposit bonus. The site is typically filled with bad players because of their free money promotion. Their small-stakes SNGs tend to get a lot of action.
-
BEATS: There is not nearly as much traffic as bigger poker rooms. Also, their tournament schedule is quite lacking and even their bigger events fail to get a lot of participants. Unfortunately Poker Time does not accept US players.

Poker Time.com Overview
is one of the many skins of the Prima Poker Network. While the sites apparently shares traffic, it seems Poker Time is hurting quite a bit during peak US times. This is more than likely due to the fact that Poker Time does not accept US players since the passing of the UIGEA. The site seems to have removed a lot of their non-Hold’em games and now only run Limit, Pot-Limit, and NL Hold’em as well as Pot-Limit Omaha Hi.
Their SNG and Multi-table Tournament schedule is also quite lacking. The highest traffic can be found at their low stakes SNGs which start as low as $.50 + $.10. Action at the highest stakes is almost non-existent, with only heads-up SNGs running over $50. They have freerolls starting every few hours. You can play for as little as $.09 up to $1,000 + $90, although not all stakes have games running. The biggest one noticed recently was for the APT Macau Final at $900+$90. The others were for much smaller stakes. The most common payouts for the freerolls are $200 and $500. Poker Time's regular tournaments do not seem that busy, with the greatest concentration of players on the turbos with small buy-ins of around $3. Their satellite tournaments look interesting with names like Sunday Showdown, Saturday Extreme Stack and the APT Macau, but a precursory look showed no more than 50 registered players spread out over these three, which is a little disappointing. They have a section called "Special" which features differing games from each category. There the busiest tournament was the WPP Freeroll with 122 players signed up, the highest registration level observed at the site.
PokerTime offers many different means of depositing: Visa/Mastercard, Diners Club International, Solo Debit, EcoCard, Click2Pay, Neteller, eCheck, EZIPay, Instadebit, UseMyBank, MoneyBookers, FirePay, Bank Wire.
PokerTime has a point system that operates similar to many others. There are very few rules for receiving points. You have to play real money games and receive cards with a rake of at least $.25. You also earn 2.5 points for every dollar you spend in multi-table and Sit & Go tournament fees. As with so many sites, this point structure rewards you for betting more money, as opposed to playing micro-stakes. These poker points can be turned into dollars, and they have a very organized pay structure that ranges from 50 points = $2 to 15,000 points = $1,500. So do the math and you’ll see why you want to accumulate points!
Poker Time.com Software Interface/Usability
The lobby for is the same as many other skins of the Prima Network. These lobbies are pretty user friendly for anyone familiar with the "Folders" button in Windows. The options here drop down the same way with +'s and -'s to expand and collapse tabs. These skins also have more than one view selection. You can hit "Change Lobby" and choose among three different views: collapsible files, check boxes, and large clickable icons. The collapsible tabs, for example, allow all of your options to just drop down right in front of you. Click boxes allow you to hide full and empty tables, only showing you the ones with available seats on them.
PokerTime has a slightly different type of table than many other sites. You have a time limit to decide but no time bank; rather, it displays how many seconds you have left in the chat box. This proved awkward because the chat box says you have 15 seconds left, but it doesn’t count down so if you notice it 10 seconds late it might mess up your play. Hopefully they will upgrade that to a visible icon ticking down. The rate of play seems fast compared to other sites, which creates a greater need for a time bank. After a while you will get accustomed to the difference. The tables have a lot of different options to customize such as: table size; game markers (displays how much money was in the pot on every street); color decks; and a seating preference to put you in the same seat at every table (great for multi-tabling).
You can store hand histories on your computer (necessary for use in programs like Poker Tracker). One drawback about their hand history format is that you can not instantly scroll through previous hands like you can at other poker sites. You have to request the last number and it will save it to a txt file. This is highly inconvenient. Also, it does not reveal the other player's mucked cards if it goes to showdown, something often found at other online poker sites.
PokerTime.com Poker Room Action
It seems traffic at has been dropping as of late. Even at the lowest stakes only 8-10 tables seem to be running, much lower than other major poker rooms. While the room is part of the Prima Network it seems they are not sharing traffic with other skins, which is hurting their business.
Finding a decent amount of action at mid-stakes is difficult, which can make clearing bonuses difficult.
Poker Time's Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating
While there is not a lot of action at the players who are there are quite fishy. Because of their initial $10 offer and a lower 100% deposit bonus the site tends to recruit more recreational players, which is great for those looking to clean up and build their bankroll. Be careful if you play higher stakes, as there tend to only be other solid players looking for fish.
PokerTime Promotion Code & Bonus
See our PokerTime Bonus page for details on clearing your bonus.
offers some great bonuses for you to take advantage of. In addition, you will receive another $10 ABSOLUTELY FREE simply by using our links to sign up! The free $10 bonus will be credited to your account within 24-48hrs. The only restriction is for cashing it out: you need to earn 50 points before you can cash out the $10 bonus (which is really an easy feat).
So in order to get the $10 no deposit bonus and start playing for real money, you must be a new player, use our links, create a new account, then click on "Claim your $10 free" on the PokerTime homepage. Simply fill in your account information and within 48 hours you will have $10!

This is a very exciting bonus because it essentially pays you twice. You earn money for getting points and with points you can earn great bonuses like invites to exclusive tournaments!
Poker Time has enough promotions to suit almost everyone. For starters they have the APPT (Asia Pacific Poker Tour) in Macau. This tournament has a $1,300,000 prize pool! They give away five packages with travel valued at $9,000 each. Interested players should check the “Terms & Conditions”. You can enter by a cash buy-in or using player points to join a Satellite tournament.
The newest addition to the PokerTime promotions is the $200,000 Leaderboard. This is one of the biggest leaderboard promotions you will find anywhere! Every month the player who earns the most Poker Points wins a HUGE $25,000 prize! The leaderboard also pays down to 150 places, which means you can easily win a share of the $200,000 every month. The 4-figure prizes start at 53rd place and up, so if you really grind it out you could be making a large amount of extra cash every month. Please see the PokerTime site, under Promotions, for complete details.
The First Deposit Freeroll is very simple: when you make your first deposit you get automatically entered into a freeroll worth $2500 the next month. For example, if you deposited in July you would get entered in the tournament held on August 6th at 21:00 GMT.

Poker Time.com Customer and Technical Support
In our registration experience with this site we discovered a fairly major problem. Instead of a registrant choosing a username to log-in with, gives a long string of numbers and letters. One would expect to immediately get an email that would contain it, but that did not come for several hours. If you do not keep the PokerTime generated username on the screen or write it down, you will be locked out of the site until the email comes. (Just for the record, every other online casino on the net sends a welcome email with your username within seconds or minutes). An attempt to go back to the room and register again met with a lockout. No dice; it knew we’d had already registered. We were stuck. Needless to say, we were not impressed with this.
Fortunately, PokerTime has one of the best support desks. They have many different options to choose in contacting them: live chat, telephone, or e-mail. An e-mail concerning the lockout received a reply within a few hours. Could it have been a unique experience that the welcome email only arrived after their customer service replied to us? Perhaps their server had a temporary problem. A test of the live chat help took only minutes to connect with a representative for assistance. Contact information is below:
