Poker Room School.com Overview
Poker Room School is a portal site into CDPoker.
By joining CDPoker via the Poker Room School, you are entitled to an extra special bonus! Poker Room School recently upgraded their already amazing offer to a $150 free,
no deposit bonus for new CDPoker players.
Here are the steps for the $150 No Deposit Required Bonus through PokerRoomSchool:
Step 1 – Register an account at .
Step 2 – Verify your e-mail address and activate your account from the activation e-mail.
Step 3 - Download the CDPoker software from the activation e-mail.
Step 4 – Pass the quiz at .
Step 5 – Wait for CDPoker to contact you via telephone (usually within one hour of taking the quiz).
Step 6 - Once your account is verified, $50 will be credited to your account (within 72 hours).
Step 7 – Earn the remaining $100 bonus by using the $50 to earn CDPoints at the rate of 1200 CDPoints for $10.
NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED. NO HIDDEN TRICKS. It's really that easy!
Things to note:
- No U.S. Players.
- You are not eligible if you already have a CDPoker account; new players only.
- CDPoker will attempt to contact you via telephone, so it is important to make sure that you fill in your correct telephone number during the registration process. The phone call will be in English.
- CDPoints are not awarded for tournaments with less than a $1 entry fee, which means $10 + $1 and up.
Incredibly, CDPoker is currently offering this HUGE $150 no-deposit bonus for just proving you know the game. Remember, register in the PokerRoomSchool through FlopTurnRiver, take the Poker Room quiz, then you get your money! It’s that simple.
Signing up is a piece of cake: just complete the basic registration form at PokerRoomSchool and then confirm your e-mail address. You don’t even have to create an account at CDPoker, they will do it for you. After completing the form, you will get an e-mail with a link to activate your account. Click on that link and you’re one step closer to your $150.
After activating your account it’s time to show your knowledge and take the quiz. If you’re thinking “why do I have to take a quiz?” here’s why: PokerRoomSchool says it is necessary. “The point of the quiz is to better prepare you for the real money tables and to make sure you don't blow your starting money away.”
That makes sense, however only a donkey couldn’t pass this quiz! We won’t ruin it for you but it is only 7 questions long in multiple choice format and they ask such things as: “What is an overpair?”; “What is a draw?”; “What is a flush?” Well, you don’t really learn anything from it and it definitely doesn’t mean you won’t blow your money if you pass it, but all you wanted was the money anyway.
After you finish the quiz, you will get an e-mail saying whether or not you passed (hope to God you did!) If you did pass, CDPoker will attempt to contact you via telephone so it is important to ensure you fill out your correct telephone number in the registration process. This is a necessary step that only has to be done once to verify your identity and location. After this is complete you will have the money. CDPoker states it may take up to 72 hours for it to become available but no longer than that.
We were impressed by the professionalism at CDPoker. We logged into our account and immediately a service representative contacted us via live chat (we didn’t even have to contact them) and asked if everything went okay in the registration process. They gave step-by-step instructions on how to earn the bonus money, eliminating any confusion.
The bonus is for $150, but there is a catch. After everything is complete and you get the phone call, you will get $50 in your account. The other $100 must be earned like any other bonus by collecting CDPoints. The $100 will be yours after you earn 12,000 total CDPoints, which will be credited $10 for every 1200 CDPoints.
Here is how CDPoints are earned:
Points are awarded according to the rake taken at ring games- $0.10 to $0.24= 0.2; $0.25 to $0.50 = 1; $0.51 to $1.00 = 2; $1.01 to $1.50= 4; $1.51 to $2.00 = 6; $2.01 and up (maximum rake) = 8. Furthermore, each $1 paid in tournament fees earns you 15-40 points (depending on your VIP level). CDPoker does NOT give any CDPoints for tournaments that have under a $1 fee.
Previously, this offer was only $130 and started you off with $30 to play with. It was pretty hard to get things going for most players. But now, the $50 bankroll they start you off with makes things a lot easier. It is still a grind, but that is what poker is all about.
At Poker Room School they say, “With a lot of patience, and some ambition, it shouldn’t be a problem.” We agree.
All too often new players start out by depositing, playing at too high stakes, lose their money, then re-deposit or give up completely. We think CD Poker, through their PokerRoomSchool, offers a great opportunity for the new player who is ready to give it a shot, and allows you to get started for free! At the same time, you will be learning how to discipline yourself and use proper bankroll management.
You do get the entire $150 without depositing, but don’t expect to earn the $100 quickly. This is not a fast earning bonus, but it will teach you patience and help you get better at the game.

I've been playing my way through the
PokerRoom School bonus at CD Poker and
note that you missed a few additional
bonuses:
1. You get bonuses as you accumulate CD
points. You need 12000 to clear the
$100 PRS bonus ($10 deposited instantly
after each 1200 points). But you get an
additional $10 bonus when you hit 1500
CD points, and a $15 bonus when you hit
3000. Presumably more bonuses arrive
when you reach the higher VIP levels as
well. You can also cash out your CD
points themselves for additional money.
2. PokerRoom school has an additional
bonus that is deposited into your
account depending on how you place on a
leaderboard in any given week. It
ranges from a freeroll entry to $2500
for the leader. It isn't clear how the
points are accumulated, but it is free
money if you are playing.
Interface - CD poker is reasonably easy
to use. There can be bugs in the sound,
so you have to watch your tables
carefully.
Action - Lots of cash tables at Euro
prime time. Off peak you might be
combining tables from 2 or more limits
if you multitable. No idea about
tourneys.
Tech Support - excellent, live 24/7
support accessible through the main
page.
Fishfactor - Lots of fish in the lower
limit games. I came from Stars, and it
is like night and day. Not many tables
later in the evening, but they are full
of poor players.
Bonus/Promotions - excellent. You need
to make a deposit to cash out the PRS
bonus, but there are lots of good
deposit bonuses available.
