Great new tournaments at Players Only!

Players Only Poker Highlights
-
100% Initial Deposit Up to $1000, Plus Additional 10% Immediate Deposit Bonus -- Use Promo Code: FTRPOPPK
-
NUTS: PlayersOnly offers a very large deposit bonus, and has some pretty decent traffic to boot. There will always be a seat available for you at whichever limit you wish to play. When it comes to tourneys, PlayersOnly has been on the up-and-up recently. Table graphics are nice and offer lots of thoughtful little touches to make playing there a breeze. PlayersOnly also possesses a fully fledged Sportsbook and Casino to accompany its poker games, which means the poker games will be very soft.
-
BEATS: Email support response time at PlayersOnly can be a bit on the slow side. The lobby can be a bit convoluted to navigate, and it will take some time getting used to it. PlayersOnly's software can be a bit of a resource hog on older computers. Funding options for US players leave something to be desired.

Players Only Poker Room Review

Players Only.com Poker Overview
Players Only Poker is one of the newer additions to the Merge Poker network (formerly on Cake Poker) and it still allows US players to deposit real money funds.
While playing at Players Only Poker you will notice they offer Limit, Pot-limit, and No-limit Hold'em, Limit and Pot-limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. Several variations of Stud and Draw Poker, including but not limited to 5-Card stud, 7-Card Stud/Stud8, Razz, Badugi and Triple Draw are represented on the site as well, but are not as well populated as the Texas Hold'em games. In fact, seeing more than 1 game going in these sections is something of a rarity, but still, they are there should you wish to play those poker variants. In a nutshell, the Texas Hold'em games are by far the most popular at PlayersOnly.
One of the best things we noticed about Players Only Poker was the spread of players across stakes. Even though they are not in the top 10 of most popular poker rooms today, you will be able to find a game. With the average number of players connected only hovering around 4000, it was surprising to see over 700 active tables, which is very nice for a smaller poker room.
The same situation exists for tournaments at Players Only Poker. During evenings in EST, you can expect to see 100 or more Sit & Go tournaments running. If you are a low-mid stake SnG player who is looking to grind out a nice bonus, you will definitely find the action you need! The games offered are a variety of 10 or 6 max turbo and regular, heads-up, shootouts, Double-Or-Nothings and satellites to larger MTTs. PlayersOnly also introduces a new and innovative ways to buy into tournaments utilizing the standard VIP points you earn while playing, which is definitely very convenient.
Although not getting as much traffic as Sit & Goes, you will not have to worry if you're a tourney pro either. Most of the tournaments at Players Only Poker are in the $10 - $30 buy-in spread and guarantees range from $1500 to $10,000. There are also quite a good number running at the higher stakes.
As mentioned before, playing real money poker on PlayersOnly will generate VIP points. These points form the basis of the PlayersOnly VIP program, and can be used in the PlayersOnly VIP Store and also to directly exchange into tournament buy-ins, at a rate of 1000 VIP points for $10. This applies to any tournament that PlayersOnly offers, and the only limit you will have to deal with is based on your current VIP level, which will put a ceiling on how much you can convert in any given month starting at $50/mo. for Green tier going all the way up to $1,000/mo. for Platinum tier. The VIP system also offers a ton of additional benefits such as exclusive tier-specific freeroll entries etc.
Depositing at Players Only Poker as an American player seems to be a rather difficult as they only offer three means: Visa/MasterCard, Western Union Cash Transfer and UseMyWallet. PlayersOnly boasts of having the highest credit cards acceptance rates in the industry, so you could try to use your credit cards to deposit without too many hassles. But experience shows that many US players still run into problems trying to use credit cards, we used their live chat feature to learn more about their other options, but mainly about the Cash Transfer option. It turned out to be a fairly complicated process which, in reality, limits their traffic growth and we would like to see more options added in the future.
Players Only.com Software Interface/Usability
The lobby at Players Only Poker is not the most intuitive we’ve seen, but with the usage of filters it should be relatively easy to find the exact game you are looking for once you get the hang of it. Near the top, you can select which game and limit you wish to play using a heavily tab-oriented interface. Using provided filters you can easily hide or show different tables or tournaments, and once you have displayed exactly those tournaments that you wish to see you will be able to easily sort them by Game, Type, Buy-In entry etc. by simply clicking on the corresponding tab. You can also access the cashier to view your balance and deposit/withdrawal options, bonus account, and other various promotions in the lobby.
The table layout that is offered for every stake is 10-max full ring and 6-max shorthanded. When you sit at the table you will notice the avatars (you can choose one when you create your custom nickname) but you have the choice to turn them off in the options. There are not many customizable table options to configure, however there are some nice built-in table features that help while playing. You can’t, however, change the default seat while at the table. When players chat, chat bubbles will appear on top of their icons, and typing “LOL” for instance will show a nice animation, which resembles the emoticons from your favorite chat program. The buttons that you use to select your action are color coded to help prevent from any misclicks that may happen. Also, you can help follow the action by colors around the player's name at the table. The colors the interface uses are as follows: Folds are dark blue, Call is yellow, a Check is green, and a Raise is orange. All-in bets are coded as red. There are various buttons that can help while betting, Bet 1/2 Pot, Bet 2/3 Pot, Bet ¾ Pot, Bet Pot, All-in, and a slider to select any amount you wish. You can also type in any bet. Pot sizes are also very conveniently displayed, in a way that sums up how much betting took place in this particular street and how large the pot was before that. It is very intuitive, and hopefully other sites will implement this feature as well.
Profiling players is also easy to do, as the options you are given are both deep and plentiful. You can add stars, icons, text and more in order to separate the fish from the shark. There are also options in the software to add a buddy list, and send and receive friend requests, just like a bona fide social network would.
Blackjack, Backgammon, Euchre and other casino games are also available right from with the PlayersOnly Lobby. When you click on any of these, they will pop up just like a normal table does. Blackjack is available as a stand-alone game, but is also a part of the other Casino Games in a casino setting with matching background and environmental music and all. “Euchre” is a trick-taking game, and explaining it to newbie players would need an entire article on its own, so the main thing that you need to know is that it is very fun and entertaining to play. Not to mention that since everybody is so bad at it, and due to the fact that it’s played versus live players just like poker, there is a lot of money to be won if you study this game closely.
You will also be able to find 3D slots, 5-Reel Slots, Scratch Cards, Video Poker and a ton of Virtual Games such as Virtual Derby, Pachinko NFL, and 6 Ball Lotto. As you can clearly see, lack of variety and boredom are never going to be a problem at Players Only Poker.
The Sportsbook is also available right from within the PlayersOnly lobby, but also on the PlayersOnly.com website. You can make a ton of different bets on all kinds of sports, plus there are a few handy handicapping tools at your disposal to assist you in making good bets, such as a basketball tip sheet (presented by StatFox, free of charge), relevant team statistics, profitable angles and even a Top Ten Bets list. Who knows, playing at PlayersOnly might not make you just a Shark, but a Sharp bettor as well?
And now follows the most important thing for all poker players, which are the hand history options. PlayersOnly Poker hand histories are instantly available right at the table. You have to click “history” to bring up the hand history viewer. One thing to note is that the viewer is in an image format, as opposed to text. This can make reviewing hands confusing and annoying if you are not used to it. If you prefer, you can have hands saved to your computer (or request via e-mail) to be reviewed after your session.
PlayersOnly Poker Room Action
All things considered, the action at Players Only Poker is impressive. It is good even without an extremely large player base. We found 120+ cash tables and 100+ tournaments running during the evenings. As stated earlier, most people are playing No-limit Hold'em, so don’t expect to always see an Omaha/Stud table up. Most of the traffic is found around the $1 - $2 blind levels and below, but you should notice a few tables of every limit running.
Players Only Poker's Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating
The tough depositing options really limit the amount of fish you will find at Players Only Poker. Tables tend to be about average compared to other poker rooms today and certainly are beatable. If you are thinking of trying out PlayersOnly but are worried that it might be too tough, that’s not the case. Add in the large bonus you can earn and it will be worth your time.
PlayersOnly.com Promo Code, Bonus, and Promotions
Players Only Poker has an exclusive FTR deposit bonus of 100% up to $1000! To sign up for this promo you must use one of the links on this page and enter Promo Code FTRPOPPK when making your very first deposit. Doing this will ensure that you receive the special FTR promotional offer. In order to earn this bonus, you must play real money cash games or tournaments, which will give you VIP Points.
In cash games, VIP Points are earned at a rate of 1 VIP point for every 10 cents you a player contributes in rake. The ratio is similar for tournament fees as well, with 1 VIP point earned for every $1 paid in tournament fees. For every 75 VIP points you generate, you will be earning $1 of the bonus money, which is released in your account in $5 chunks.
In order to take advantage of the full $1000 bonus, you will need exactly 75,000 VIP points which makes this a fairly long grind, but still worth attempting.
In addition to the 100% initial deposit bonus PlayersOnly is also including a 10% immediate deposit bonus, which is available to you for wagering in the sportsbook and instant play casino as soon as you make your deposit. And this additional 10% bonus is good for all deposits, including reloads. So enjoy an initial deposit bonus of 110% plus 10% reload bonuses. And remember, this extra 10% is awesome because it's an immediate deposit bonus!
This clears at varying rates according to the stakes you play. For instance, at 25NL, you would need to grind for about 350,000 hands Full Ring or 234,000 hands 6-max. If you up the ante and grind at 50NL instead, you are going to need about 163,000 hands Full Ring and about 120,000 hands 6-Max. Go up to 400NL, and you would need to grind about 55,000 hands Full Ring and about 46,000 hands at 6-Max. As you can clearly see, the higher you play in cash the fewer the amount hands you are going to need to grind to clear the whole bonus. In goes down almost in a logarithmic fashion; this basically means “grind high, kid”!
If tournaments are your thing, you would need to play in about 7,500 $10+1 tournaments, or about 3,750 $20+2 tournaments. As you play in higher buy-in games, the total number of tourneys you will need to play will go in the opposite direction. Just play as high as you are comfortable with and rolled for, and you will be fine. More information on how this bonus clears can be found in our Players Only Bonus clearing page, with a nice link to it placed to the right of this page for your convenience.
And that is just to start. PlayersOnly also offers a VIP program, which has you advancing in level as you amass enough VIP points. The higher you are in the VIP level, the more things which will be available for you such as entries to exclusive freerolls, monthly reload bonuses, a higher cap for exchanging cash into tournament buy-ins and much more! The VIP Levels and requirements to get them are as follows:
Green: 3000 VIP Points
Bronze: 10,000 VIP points
Silver: 50,000 VIP Points
Gold: 150,000 VIP Points
Platinum: 300,000 VIP Points
Players will keep their VIP level as long as they generate at least 1 VIP point in a specified time frame, which is 60 days for Green through Silver levels and 90 days for Gold and Platinum levels, your VIP Point total will start to decay. When the total goes below the amount specified for the level, you will drop a level. When you use points to buy stuff in the PlayersOnly VIP store (which at the time of this review still has a “Coming Soon” sign on it), or trade VIP points for tournament buy-ins, your VIP points total will also decline.
On top of all this goodness, exclusive to FlopTurnRiver signups will be monthly $100 freerolls and a monthly tournament with a $3 buy-in and a nice $300 added to the prize pool! That’s an additional $400 which will be up for grabs each and every month until the end of time!

Players Only.com Customer and Technical Support
The live support at Players Only Poker was very timely and helpful. They were always very knowledgeable and professional. However, some people have had connection issues with the live chat in the past.
On the negative side is their email support. We had an e-mail that never received a response from them. Another follow-up e-mail took nearly 24 hours to get a reply.
You can contact them via live chat, e-mail, or telephone.

they charge a 2% fee on your CC deposit,
I made a $100 deposit via my CC they

$102. I guess in the fine print they
indicate that but it should be noted up

Great Bonus! You don't have to earn
the entire thing at once, but you earn
it in $10 increments, and then $10 is
deposited into your real money account.
You can monitor the whole thing. In
addition, you get another 10% up front
to play with. A lot of free money here.
Good room for US players too - it shares
with some other skins like Cake Poker,
but doesn't have the sharks like Full
Tilt and PokerStars imo. Check it out.
