While playing at Players Only Poker, you will notice they offer limit, pot-limit, and no-limit Hold'em, limit and pot-limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo are given as game tabs, but when selected the lobby displayed, "No games found for this selection." A vast majority of the users connected were playing Hold'em; with no-limit being the most popular.
One of the best things I noticed about Players Only Poker was the spread of players spread across stakes. Even though they are not in the top 10 of the most popular poker rooms today, you will be able to find a game. With only an average of around 4000 players connected, I was surprised to see over 700 active tables; which is very nice for a smaller poker room.
The same was for tournaments at Players Only Poker. During evenings in EST, you can expect to see 100 or more Sit & Go tournaments running. If you are a low-mid stake SnG player who is looking to grind out this nice bonus, you will definitely find the games you need! The games offered are a variety of 10 or 6 max turbo and regular, heads up, shootouts, and satellites to larger MTTs. Also, they even have sit and go tournaments using their FPP rewards (Gold Chips). You can buy-in for as little as one Gold Chip to win more Gold Chips! (FPP and Gold Chips are described in more detail below).
Although not getting as much traffic as Sit & Gos, you will not have to worry if you're a tourney pro either. Most of the tournaments at Players Only Poker are in the $10 - $30 buy-in range, and guarantees range from $1500 to $10,000. There are also quite a good number running at the higher stakes.
As mentioned earlier, while playing at Players Only you will earn Frequent Player Points (FPP). These FPP are used to release bonuses and to earn Gold Chips. How fast you earn Gold Chips depends on how many FPP you earn in each month; the more you play, the faster you earn them. Currently, Gold Chips can only be used to buy-in to special tournaments and freerolls, with prize pools ranging from $1200 up to $15000.
Depositing on seems rather difficult, as they only offer two means; Visa/MasterCard and Western Union Cash Transfer. Because many people run into problems trying to use credit cards, I used their live chat feature to learn more about their Cash Transfer option. It turned out to be a fairly complicated process, which I think really limits its traffic and would like to see more options added in the future.

I found the lobby at to be very well organized, and very easy to find what you are looking for. Near the top, you can select which game and limit you wish to play. You can easily hide or show different tables or tournaments. You can also view your current balance, bonus account, and other various promotions in the lobby.
The table layout that is offered is 10-max full ring and 6-max shorthanded, for every stake. When you sit at the table you will notice the avatars that you can choose along with your custom nickname, and there is an option to turn this off in the options. There are not many customizable table options to configure, however there are some nice built in table features that help while playing. The buttons that you use to select your action are color coated to help prevent from any mis-clicks that may happen (fold is red, check is yellow, and bet is green). Also, you can help follow the action by colors around the player's name at the table; Green = chips were put into play, Yellow = No action, Red = Cards folded. There are various buttons that can help while betting, Bet œ Pot, Bet Pot, Allin, and a slider to select any amount you wish. You can also type in any bet.
While playing, Players Only Poker has hand histories instantly available right at the table. You have to click "last hand" to bring up the hand history viewer. One thing to note is that the viewer is in an image format, as opposed to text. This can make reviewing hands confusing and annoying if you are not use to it. If you prefer, you can hand hands saved to your computer (or request via e-mail) and can be reviewed after your session.

I was impressed with the action at . It was good even without an extremely large player base. I found there to be about 120+ cash tables and 100+ tournaments running during the evenings. As stated earlier, most of people are playing no-limit Hold'em, so do not expect to always get an Omaha/Stud table up. Most of the traffic is found around and below the $1 - $2 blind levels, but always noticed a few tables of every limit running.
Players Only Poker's Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating
The tough depositing options really limit the amount of fish you will find at Players Only Poker. I found the tables to be about average compared to other poker rooms today, and certainly beatable. If you are thinking of trying out Players Only but are worried that it might be too tough, that is not the case! Add in the large bonus you can earn and it will be worth your time.
