Nuts (Cool):

The interface is fast. Large player base. Bounty tournaments with Doyle Brunson. Bad beat jackpot. Great bonus offering which was recently upgraded! Super System I and II available for free through FTR and DoylesRoom! Still accepts some US Players (not all 50 states).

Beats (Suck):

Tables are not resizable. Not able to access hand history within poker room. Many people liked the feel of the old Doyles Room rather than the Prima skin.

In April of 2007, moved off of the Tribeca Poker Network, over to the Microgaming or Prima Poker Network, thereby substantially increasing its player base. It's smaller dedicated player base, with about 3,000-4,000 players on at any one time, now joins the larger Prima Poker Network, which has over 10,000 players during peak hours. For the first time in over eight months, Doylesroom.com is back in the U.S. After a lengthy absence due to UIEGA related issues, Doyles Room is once again allowing U.S. players on their site. (However, due to state laws, they regrettably can not accept US players from the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.)

Doyles Room is of course sponsored by arguably the most famous poker player that has ever lived, Doyle Brunson. And he doesn’t just lend his name to the site, you can even play against him! They are many bounty tournaments where he puts a bounty on his head. If you knock him out, you win the extra money! He also shows up from time to time at the cash tables, so if you really want to, you can challenge him!

Doyles Room offers a wide range of deposit options from Visa and Mastercard to ePassporte and Moneybookers. Doyles Room has done an awfully good job in making it easily accessible for you to get your money onto their site and getting you ready to fire up a game.

offers an extremely wide selection of limits to play in every game to accommodate every type of player. Whether you’re looking to start a bankroll or build upon an already existing one, Doyles Room gives you a lot of options to choose from. Unfortunately, a lot of the higher stakes options are rather dead at this time. However, the mid - lower limit games are always busy. You will find the majority of the players at the shorthanded no-limit hold'em tables, but they also offer limit, pot-limit, and no-limit Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud, and 5 Card Draw. Although they aren't as popular, you should still be able to find 15-20 tables of Omaha and other games running.

The lobby of is very, very easy to navigate around. It’s hard to get confused searching through the poker room. Everything is organized in tabs on the left hand side of the lobby. You can select which game or category you like, then press the + button to expand on it. Very basic. Also on the plus side, unlike in the past, you are able to see the percentage of players to the flop. This is an extremely useful stat for cash game players.

The speed of the site itself is very good. There ism’t very much wait time from at the end of a hand to when the cards are dealt. The tables themselves have a bit of a different interface from other sites. If you right click on a player while at a table you are able to either take notes, add them as a buddy, or see where they are from. Also, for those players who have created a profile, you are able to see a picture of them, and any other things that they have posted about themselves. Unfortunately at the present time, there are no avatars which some people may prefer. You also can not manually resize tables, which are fairly large.

Cash games offered are either heads up, six max, or ten handed. The six max tables are the most predominate tables at Doyles Room.

The poker room is fast, but is a bit unpleasing to the eyes. The options at tables are standard, however another drawback is the fact that you’re still not able to see numerically how much you or anyone else has bet at anytime. You’re able to see the pot size, but not the amount that has been bet. Many people prefer the old Doyles Room skin when it was its own stand alone network, but Prima is one of the better skins out there.

A good deal of the cash game tables offer a very loose game at . Again however, the higher limit games on Doyles Room tend to be a bit of a ghost town, which is probably a reflection of the fact that the site has just returned to the U.S. market. This is also a problem that a lot of the higher limit sit n goes face. There are plenty of tournaments to play during the day, including the weekly Bounty tournament where you get the chance to knock out Doyle Brunson and friends. If you’re lucky enough to do so, you’re able to win extra cash for doing so. And if you knock out all three bounties in the tournament, you collect $25,000. (which seems near impossible!)

Doyles Room has one of the best rated customer and technical support online. It is extremely easy to get live support, either through a button on the bottom right hand of the poker room that leads to 24/7 chat, or going onto Doylesroom.com and contacting them through the support section on their website. In my encounters with them they’ve been extremely helpful in answering any questions I had. You are also able to contact them through e-mail, as well.

E-mail: support@dbpn.com

On , loose play is prevalent in the lower limit games. It is not what you would refer to as a rock garden. Most times you’re able to find tables that you will be able to make money at. The average pots tend to be a little on the high side as well. You should have no problem being able to find a good game at Doyle’s Room.

offers a few different bonus offers, however, the best bonus offer is the 110% up to $660 initial deposit bonus! If you deposit the full $600, you will receive a $660 bonus. This is an exclusive FTR bonus which is much better than the standard 50% bonus offered on other sites! Make sure you use the FTR DoylesRoom Promotion code FTR110B when creating your new account to receive this new and improved bonus.

NOTE: The 2-book set promotion is only available to new accounts created after September 3rd, 2006. You must have a bonus code to get this Super Bonus - be sure to use FTR110B.

To take advantage of this great offer, simply make your first deposit of at least $50 and play! Every time you play in real-money games and tournaments you will receive Action Points based on the amount you bet. Points accumulate very quickly and continue to build each time you play. When you earn the equivalent of your Bonus x 300 in Action Points, your 110% Super Bonus will automatically be deposited into your account!

Here's how it works.
First Deposit Action Points Required Bonus Payout
$50 16,500 $55
$100 33,000 $110
$250 82,500 $275
$600 198,000 $660
Deposit bonuses are credited in real money and paid in full once you've generated the number of Action Points associated with your deposit. There is no time limit or expiration date; once you earn the Action Points you receive the bonus. These action points are calculated according to how much of the rake you paid. For every cent in rake that you pay, you get one action point. For instance, if three people go to showdown and the total rake is $.15, then your "contribution to the rake" is $.05, giving you 5 player points. This makes for slow going in clearing bonuses. Use the Doyles Room Poker Bonus Code: FTR110B to get the Exclusive FTR Bonus which adds a private FTR Tournament on the 20th of every month! This is a $2 buyin with $100 added to the prize pool!

Action Points are Doyle’s Room’s way of showing appreciation for you playing on the site. You gain them once you contribute to a raked pot. They can be used to clear bonuses, exchanged for cash once you become a certain level VIP on the site, or used to buy into tournaments, amongst other things.

Doyle’s Room even has a progressive bad beat jackpot that increases over time. However, the only way you can win the bad beat jackpot is to be on one of the designated tables.

“DoylesRoom is not like this anymore” by ScruffyDub, 12 Sep 2007

Interface:  2/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  2/5   Fish:  2/5   Bonus:  2/5

DoylesRoom is not like this anymore as it has gone from being a fantastic independant room to part of the 'microgaming' network which is a good network but Doyles has lost it's character, features and pleasent interface. This Review is Totaly Misleading and out of date.

I think DoylesRoom is the best room I have ever played on. The fish are amazing and the games are always full. I love the fact that I can see the cards I folded while the hand is being played. I cashed out 1,000,000 Action Points the other day for $1000 in cash! Way Cool

Interface:  4/5   Action:  5/5   Support:  4/5   Fish:  5/5   Bonus:  4/5

Doyles Room is one of the best poker sites I have played. It is the only site where I know you are treated with respect. From not only Dolye himself but the staff. The way the tables are set up and all the tourneys that are available are great with most of them being free. I play nowhere else It is the place to be

“like the site overall” by 67Vettes91, 04 Jan 2006

Interface:  4/5   Action:  4/5   Support:  5/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  2/5

overall DR is a great room with a lot of table options and great fishing. Better in the AM (US time) than the PM when more UK players etc are there to fill tables

“Chat” by Tailiban, 18 Sep 2005

Interface:  3/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  3/5   Bonus:  3/5

I think the Managers who are monitoring room chat are Tailibans from afganistan, constantly shutting peoples chat for some lame excuses, example all some one has to say,Hey that guy in our tournament table said a bad word, they will cut off your chat. Then to be re instated you have to beg for the privlige.. HEY EVERY ONE THERE IS OVER 18 YRS old. Why do they do this? I guess some one has to.its probably Doyles Mom.

“Problem with blinds” by L8APX, 31 Aug 2005

Interface:  3/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  1/5   Fish:  3/5   Bonus:  3/5

3 times, the software has merged tables in multi-table tourneys and had me post big blinds on the table left and the new table. Twice cost me from finishing in the money.

“Players are not as tough as Doyle” by ensign_lee, 07 Jul 2005

Interface:  5/5   Action:  4/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  1/5

The competition here is weaker than you'd expect, considering the room is called "Doyle's room", but I'm not complaining. The interface is very pretty and extremely smooth. If only the player base was bigger, I'd play here more often. Bonus is not really worth the time to clear.

“Doyles Room Review” by Chip Stacker, 07 Jul 2005

Interface:  4/5   Action:  2/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  2/5

The interface is clean. Action is decent. Technical Support is fine. The players are soft and the bonuses are hard to clear.
