Nuts (Cool):

Part of the popular iPoker network so there is always action at Chili Poker, good support desk with live chat, very nice initial sign up bonus which can be easily earned, many other promotions such as freerolls, bad beat jackpots, and ChiliPoker Points. Access to VIP club the more you play for special bonuses!

Beats (Suck):

Chili Poker does not accept US players, VIP club could use some more perks, tournament schedule not as large as other online giants.

was launched in 2004 by a Swedish team of Internet poker enthusiasts. It’s apparent the team knew what they were doing during the development process because they brought to the industry an enjoyable and competitive site to play on. Their merge with “Gaminfest” (an investment fund created by European entrepreneurs) in 2006 has led to further growth and development in the International markets. This growth is greatly responsible for getting ChiliPoker where it is today. My experience with ChiliPoker was an overall pleasant one. Almost immediately I was comfortable with the software and had very little issues navigating my way around it.

ChiliPoker is located on the iPoker network and does not accept US players from any locations.

's software was impressive to say the least. The first thing that caught my attention was its color scheme. The purple and light-green colors compliment each other quite well and it was very pleasing to the eyes. The interface is far from sloppy and the attractive graphics are presented quite nicely as well. At the bottom left of the lobby it shows your account balance which I thought was pretty neat. With other software I find myself constantly going into the cashier to see what my balance is. I like how it’s clearly stated on the main screen.

During play, community cards are not only displayed on the table but in the chat window as well. Most poker rooms use text to communicate what the cards are in the chat window. Chili Poker uses a graphical representation of the cards in their chat window and I’ve grown a bit fond of it after only a few uses. While yes, the chat window has a couple nice features, the window was too small for my taste. I found the text to appear crammed and difficult to read at times due to the undersized chat window.

The cards were plain looking but oddly attractive and simple. The symbol of each suit is displayed quite large on the card providing an easy read. In the end, I wound up loving the card graphics. Along with the small chat window, the dealer button is incredibly small as well. The button went unnoticed for quite some time until I made it a point to look for it. Once you see it though, it’s not very difficult to locate again.

Chili’s software also displays countdown timers for when blinds will be raised and when the next break in play will be. I haven’t seen any other software with this feature, or at the very least I haven’t noticed it. In the upper right-hand corner of your table window will be two counters for just that and it’s quick and easy to refer to if you’d like that information.

Another feature I liked was the tiled view that this software implemented. In a lot of other poker rooms you can resize your windows. With Chili Poker’s software they have a button for tiled view which makes the window smaller and more compact. In this view, the avatars are removed and the window is clutter free which makes for an even clearer understanding of what’s going on without distraction. Not to mention the ability to have many more tables open at a time.

has an attractive hand history screen. It’s displayed in an almost spreadsheet like format. It took a few minutes to get used to their hand history screen but once I did I fell in love with it. I haven’t come across a history viewer that I’ve liked better than this one.

belongs to the iPoker network which is one of the biggest poker networks right now. Traffic is always growing on this network and you’ll find no shortage of action at ChiliPoker. Whatever game you may be looking for, you’ll find it here; especially during peak hours. ChiliPoker offers all of your standard poker games including Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. At the time of writing there were 27,275 simultaneous players all looking for and essentially creating action. You can’t go wrong playing amidst that kind of traffic! Now if only they accepted US players again.....

has excellent customer service/support. I only ran into a couple minor bumps with their support. They’re available for help via telephone, email, and live chat. Whenever dealing with tech support my initial preference is live chat because it’s quick, convenient, and I don’t like waiting to speak to someone on the phone. I tried to test their Live Chat feature to see how well they would be able to help, but the feature was temporarily out of service for well over two hours; I stopped trying. While this may not be typical, it was annoying at the time.

Games on ChiliPoker have a reputation of being soft and juicy. Due to the popularity of the iPoker network there is lots of traffic with plenty of fish to be found. Many advanced players like to use programs such as PokerAce to aid their poker playing. Because the iPoker network doesn’t allow these types of programs there tends to be less advanced players to deal with. The result? More fish! You have potential to make a lot of cash on this poker site if you play your cards right and find the fish.

There are a few different bonuses you can take part in at that you can chose based on your level and time. (Different bonuses use different bonus codes, see below for details.) Perfect for beginners or lower stake players: Deposit a minimum of $20 and receive a bonus of $100! All you need to do is collect 4000 FPP and your account will be automatically credited with the bonus of $100 which will be added to your winnings.

They also have another offer; sign-up with ChiliPoker and receive 100% first deposit bonus up to $600. Max out this offer and get the full $600 in bonus! You will receive $1 in your account with every 48 FPP collected and this will be paid in one lump sum. This bonus is cleared at $1 per 48 FPP, so in total you need to collect 28,800 FPPs for the full $600. (Tip: If you deposit via Neteller or Moneybookers this clears at 40 FPPs for $1, about 17% faster!) Keep in mind it must be cleared within 60 days in order to receive the bonus.

If you plan on playing a lot of hands, and play higher stakes, you can also get some additional added bonuses. You can also select to receive a free $215 tournament ticket or 80 GB Apple iPod with your $600 deposit! Once you clear the 24,000 (or 28,800) FPPs for the $600, you will then be able to earn your additional bonus! It is recommended you play higher stakes to earn these prizes because you have to earn more FPPs depending on which you choose. If you choose the $215 ticket, you have to collect 8,000 FPPs and if you choose the iPod 20,000 additional FPPs will need to be earned. The great thing about these bonuses is that an I-pod classic costs 36,000 FPP's in our Hotshop whilst for this bonus you will only 20,000 FPP's to get it and the same goes for the ticket. The ticket costs 14,000 FPP's in our Hotshop while for the bonus it only costs 8,000 FPP's! This is a great offer and an added bonus to try out ChiliPoker!

Make sure when choosing your bonus you enter the correct bonus code:

500% up to $100: 100DOL
100% up to $600: NET100
100% up to $600 + $215 ticket: 600PLUS
100% up to $600 + Apple iPod: IPOD600

Earning the FPPs is done so by playing cash games or tournaments. In cash games, you are awarded based on the rake of any given pot; 1 point where the rake is $.25 - $.50, 2 points at $.51 - $1.00, 3 points at $1.01 - $1.50, 4 points at $1.51 - $2.00, and 6 points at $2.01+. $1 in tournament fees will also award 15 FPPs. (For example: A $22 + $2 sit and go would award 30 FPPs.)
