Nuts (Cool):

Connected to sports book so there are other opportunities apart from poker. Great interface and software upgrades. Like Absolute, PokerStars and others you can upload an avatar.

Beats (Suck):

Limited player base. Limited table selection. Recent legal issues are bringing Bodog into the spotlight for the wrong reasons (See NewBodog below).

Bodog.com lost their domain name! On August 28, 2007 a lawsuit caused the domain name Bodog.com to no longer DNS to the poker/casino/sportsbook mega site. The company immediately launched the temporary domain NewBodog.com as an intermediary step while they fight to get their original domain name back. Now Bodog Poker has found a new permanent domain, BodogLife.com! This is suppose to be the final transition in their domain problems. Read our BodogLife.com Updates page to keep up with the latest news!

Whatever sport is your passion, has it covered, from NFL Football to the Madness of NCAA Basketball and everything in-between. Plus you can step into a full Las Vegas style casino experience with over 50 games, easily downloadable at the click of a button and you can play in Bodog's exciting and growing multi-player poker community, opened in September of 2004, featuring Texas HoldEm, Omaha, and Omaha High Low, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud High Low, 5 Card Stud.

Of these games offered at Bodog, most people are playing mid-low stake no-limit hold'em ($200nl and below). More people are playing full ring opposed to shorthanded on this site, which is usually the opposite. They also offer heads up cash tables, but only for limit hold'em; which is really disappointing. Omaha is actually quite popular for mid-stakes, which is surprising. There are usually 25 or so active tables, which is more than enough to find a game. The same can not be said for Stud however, an you're lucky to find one or two tables for 7 Card/5 Card.

Sit and Go tournaments at Bodog are quite popular, and generate at least just as much traffic as their ring games. There are usually 250+ running at a time, most of which being in the $20 - $30 range. There are also a few $55 - $109's as well, which is more than enough is you consider the pesky 3 table limit rule they have. They offer regular, turbo, super turbo, shorthanded, and heads up. Strangely their regular tables have 10 player seats whereas their full ring cash tables only offer 9. One thing to note is some tournaments have differing payouts and blind structures. For example, their beginner tournaments pay 5 places rather than 3, 30% for 1st down to 10% for 5th. I think these are a waste of time to be honest since the max you can win is less than 3x your buyin (including entry fee) but it would reduce your variance a lot; which could be good for a beginner. One negative thing is sit & gos do not use their own tournament lobbies, which I find annoying.

The Bodog Poker Room features daily tournaments with a monthly guaranteed prize pool of more than $1.8 million, including a $100,000 guaranteed ($100 + $9 buyin) tournament each Sunday. These daily guarantees range from $1000 ($2 rebuy), $2000 ($15 + $1 freezeout), $5000 ($30 + $3 freezeout), $8,000 ($50 + $5 freezeout), up to $10,000 ($100 + $9), so you can expect to find a tournament to fit your bankroll. Bodog.com also offers guaranteed seats to the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker, including the new WSOP Europe. You can also find many freeroll tournaments at Bodog, including their $500 and $1000 daily freerolls. Some of these require points to buy into, but most have no restrictions and can have fields as large as 5000.

While playing at Bodog, you will earn Bodog Poker Points. These points are used for a few different things, including earning bonuses and special tournaments. You will earn points for playing a raked hand in cash games (1 point max), 3 points for every $1 in tournament fees, and even points for just playing at cash tables! Earning points is explained in detail below in the Bonus section.

Bodog is a well established company and brand, dating back to the emergence of the Bodog Sportsbook in 1995. In 1999, the Bodog Casino was born, offering 4 casino style games. And by 2004, the Bodog casino offered over 50 casino games. And finally, in September of 2004, the Poker room was introduced. So even though the Bodog Poker room is new, Bodog has been around for a long time. Bodog's Sportsbook is considered to be the industry leader, and Bodog's sports content and expertise translated easily into mainstream media attention. Major outlets such as ESPN, The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, CBS, and VH1 are just a few of the papers, magazines, and media outlets that have turned to Bodog for betting information and commentary.

offers one of the top software/interface today. I really like how everything is organized and the tempo of the game. The lobby is organized by tabs, and games can be hidden or filtered to show only the results you want. One thing I noticed right away about the lobby is the size (click the lobby picture above to see full size). I found this pretty annoying and really wish I could turn off the promotional banner on the left side to make it smaller, but there is no option to do so. The lobby has a quick seat option as well, which can be nice to get tables up quickly, but I only used it for sit & gos. I wouldn't recommend it for ring games, as it is fairly easy to find one by viewing them and you can select the best tables this way. Under preferences there are some options that can be changed, but there really isn't much to adjust. Just things like four color deck, avatars, show bet/pot amount, and hand strength viewer.

The table view at Bodog is different than any other online poker room today. Tables are a bit smaller than more rooms, with chat/notes attached to the right side of the window. You can also remove this to show only the table. I really like the tempo and speed of play, players are given enough time to make a decision, but not too much to hold up the game (there is no time bank). I also like how the table is laid out, it's plain yet appealing. You can also change the felt color to anything you'd like. Players are given the option to upload custom avatars, which I like and can help distinguish between players easier. One of the best features is the preferred seating seating option, which will always make you sit in the same seat. One minor frustration mentioned earlier is the lack of tournament lobbies for sit & go tournaments, would be nice to see this added in the future. (Note with multi table tournament lobbies it was be confusing because it tabs them in the main lobby, took me a moment to figure this out!)

There are a couple of very frustrating problems with Bodog. The first is the multi-tabling limitations. You can only play up to three tables maximum. I really think this limits the player base and until this is raised Bodog will never be as big as other online poker rooms (some of which allow 12 or more tables to be played at once). Another is the lack of being able to save hand history files. There is an instant hand history viewer at the table which can be used to view hands, however you can not get a text file to share hands with other people or to use with programs like Poker Tracker. There is a 3rd party program that was developed specifically for Bodog called DogWatch HandGrabber, however it costs money to use it for real money. This is a huge let down to have to pay for a separate program to obtain files that other online rooms supply with for free.

has grown a lot since adding poker games in 2004. It was a slow start, with only about 800 players on average. But since implementing some nice features and constant updates on their software, they have grown to about an average of 5,000. They also launched a large television advertising campaign, and had a lot of commercials running which upped its player base. Bodog is still one of the rooms that allows US customers for real money play, and I think it was a great move in its part (and don't think they really would have survived if they banned US.) I think a few things need to be changed if they want to become one of the big names, most explained above (hand history and multi-table limit, etc) but they are in the top 10, which is good for a room with its own network.

One thing that might stunt their growth for a while is the current 2007 legal issues with its domain name. They had to switch from Bodog.com to NewBodog.com after being sued in court. For more details and constant updates on this, read our NewBodog.com Updates page to keep up with the latest news!

Bodog is been currently been experiencing an overwhelming amount of support traffic because of the legal issues, so their responses time might be longer than usual. In the past, Bodog has been very good in my experience and has always quickly answered my e-mails. They also offer a toll free telephone number which give very quick responses, opposed to automated responses.

Bodog is one of the fishiest US friendly sites around today. It still doesn't compare to the old days of PartyPoker, but I noticed a larger number of fish and some large whales. One nice thing about the multi-table limit is the sharks can only be on three tables at a time, so it makes table selection a bit easier (I still wish they would raise the limit!) In my mid-stakes experience there were almost always 25+ tables to chose from, and being able to only play 3 max, it's always easy to find a table for you. If you're looking for a new room to try out and are having trouble finding one (especially if you're in the US) I recommend Bodog. It seems like its one of those rooms that everyone has heard of, but not many have played at.

has recently upgraded their bonus to a very large 110% up to $500! Also, 10% of this bonus can still be immediately wagered like the old bonus! If you deposit $500 for the full amount, you will receive $50 instantly that you can bet/raise/call with, and $500 will go into your pending bonus account. In order to collect this money, you must earn Bodog points by playing real money ring games or tournaments. Here is how points are given out:

You must earn 3 Bodog Poker Points for every bonus dollar issued before being eligible for a withdrawal i.e. if you earn a $500 bonus, you must earn 500 Bodog Poker Points before placing a withdrawal. Bodog Poker Points are rewarded based on your amount of play in the poker room and the level of stakes at which you play.

Every new player at Bodog automatically receives 50 Poker Points when opening their account. Additionally, you can also earn points in the following ways:

1. Ring Games - You can accumulate Bodog Poker Points by playing in ring games when you have contributed to a pot that is raked. Points are awarded based on the following:

Rake:

  • ·         $1.00 - $3.00: 1.00 points earned
  • ·         $0.50 - $0.95: 0.50 points earned
  • ·         $0.25 - $0.45: 0.25 points earned
  • ·         $0.05 - $0.20: 0.10 points earned

Point accumulation occurs at the end of every hand.

2. Tournaments - You can accumulate Bodog Poker Points for every $1.00 in fees paid for each tournament you enter. Three Points are awarded for every $1.00 in fees paid; therefore, a player would get 15 Bodog Poker Points for entering a tournament with an entry of $50+$5 (buy in + fee).

3. Time spent playing - You will accumulate Bodog Poker Points for every minute spent playing at a table. One point is awarded for every 60 minutes of play. All time spent 'playing' (sitting out is not 'playing time') in play money games, real money games, and during tournaments counts towards points earned. Players may not earn more than 500 points for playing time per calendar month. Points accumulated through time spent playing each day will be issued into the player's account at approximately 3am EST the following morning.

Please note that you still have to earn points on the $50 instant bonus in order to withdraw it, but it available immediately after you deposit. Also, you have 30 days to earn your bonus or it will expire. The bonus can be used on anything, sportsbetting, casino, or horse racing.

The Sportsbook at Bodog.com is one thing that separates it from other poker rooms. How many times have you seen a spread that looked way off? You may have wanted to bet on it but you didn't know of anyone going to Vegas at the time and you didn't know any bookies. Once you signup for Bodog poker you can easily use that same account and password to bet on sports. Right after I joined Bodog Poker, I bet on a football game in the sportsbook just to try it out. More recently I bet on a basketball game.

Here is how the Bodog Sportsbook works:

Ironically, one of the coolest things about the Bodog Sportsbook is the Non Sports Events Betting section. Here are some of the wagers I saw available at Bodog:

Bodog is a monster in the industry, so I'm sure they'll use some of their muscle to move traffic into their poker room eventually. It is nice to have everything under one account without having to worry about some of those non-trustworthy sportsbooks. Bodog.com is the leader in the online sports betting industry, so I feel comfortable signing up with them.

“Nice place, but hopes dashed by fishes” by Cloud, 17 Dec 2007

Interface:  5/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  4/5   Fish:  1/5   Bonus:  3/5

I joined Bodog with high hopes and thought that Bodog did show some promise through all its features. With the Sportsbook, Casino, and Poker Room, I thought Bodog would be one of the better sites I would play on, just for entertainment value. After playing there a while, my hopes and the promise that Bodog showed would be dashed away slowly at practically every corner. The pluses to this site are that it is very beginner friendly. There are 2 $500 and 1 $1000 guarantee freeroll every day, which is a major lure for players to play on their site. Another big thing is their variation of SnG tables, which I haven't seen on any other poker site I've played at. Bodog offers many heads up sit and go's, tourny token SnG's, your typical 1-table top 3 bubble structure, and even a 1-table top 5 bubble structure at the low limits. Some things that they could improve on would be the amount of promotions they have. They do have some nice promos for your frequent player points, but the only things you can really enter with them are a 30 point $500 guarantee, 100 point players choice tourny, and a 100k satellite qualifier. Also, a nice touch is you can cash in your points for cash. (at 100 points per $1) However, it no where near compares to the amount of promos some top poker sites, such as Full Tilt, offer. The downside to Bodog is the lack of player base and the tables are mega fishtanks. The amount of players per flop at the low to mid limit tables is usually somewhere around 50%, which is just horrible. When I'd play a table, virtually every single time a flush draw/straight draw comes up, you can't get 90% of these players to fold, no matter how much you bet. Though the site boasts a big sportsbook and casino, it turns out you only can use your money in specific sections of Bodog. For example, if you put money into Poker, you only can use it for Poker, you can't use it in the casino or sportsbook. I assume it's the same for anything else for the site. So, I was relegated to using my earnings only for Poker, when I registered for the site thinking I could spend my account money in every section of Bodog. Overall, sleek site with nice freerolls, but the donks really ruined this site for me.

Interface:  1/5   Action:  1/5   Support:  1/5   Fish:  1/5   Bonus:  1/5

Updating this review since it has come to our attention that Bodog.com is down! There is some legal dispute about ownership of the domain name!! Apparently, they've moved everything to NewBodog.com - but this situation is very strange and I would be concerned joining this room and playing at this moment...

“The only Place I play now” by udontknowabadbeat, 23 Aug 2007

Interface:  5/5   Action:  4/5   Support:  5/5   Fish:  5/5   Bonus:  3/5

This is truly the best site I have played on so far. from my initial $20 deposit which I used to test the site, I have cashed out over 2K and still have $500 in the account. Someone said on a review here that KK against AA is "almost impossible", I would challenge him to play live a few times just to see how often that happens. Some of the bad beat stories I have read on here are laugable and are not bad beats at all. If you go in on a 60/40 andyou lose, that is NOT A BAD BEAT. Even going up agaist a 75/25 is not. I dont consider anything less than a 10% chance on the river a bad beat (1 or 2 outer). In the long run if you go up against a flush chaser, you will WIN more than you lose. A lot of the time people hold Aces and try to slow roll them, get caught and then complain that they got "bodogged" - that is not the site being rigged, its the fact that they didnt raise the person who beat them out of the pot. This is also a good site for begginers, as they have begginer SNG's for building up your roll (top 5 spots pay as opposed to 3). Only problem I had was my first check took 5 weeks, but thats fine, they explained why and didnt palm me off with a lame excuse. They have to use a 3rd party, or they wouldnt be able to offer their services to US players.

“Problems Cashing Out” by Kyle, 26 Jun 2007

Interface:  3/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  3/5   Bonus:  3/5

I have played on BODOG for about two years. I have made numerous cashouts through this site. Everything was great until I cashed out 84 days ago. They told me I was to recieve my check within 10 business days, as normal, but that date came and went. I contacted them and they said their third party processor is currently experiencing payout delays. They said they will keep me up to date on the status of my check. Of course, they don't, and I have to contact them regarding this situation. The problem is they don't provide me with any information. All that is said is the third party processor is restricted by the number of checks they can process. They said they have no contact with the processor, so they can't give me any information??!!?? What? They keep giving me the run-a-round regarding my funds. I would DEFINITELY NOT put any money into this site. Has anyone else had these problems? Any ideas of what actions I could take?

“Bodog is pretty good!” by Frank, 31 Oct 2006

Interface:  1/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  3/5   Bonus:  4/5

I like the way their bonus works, 10% immediately funded into your account to be wagered with!!! You can't immediately withdraw it, but it does become part of your bankroll. Awesome. I'd expect the network to be picking up more players too since they are one of the few US friendly poker rooms. Not to mention the 2006 WSOP Champion is a Bodog guy - Jamie Gold. I've noticed more players online. Software kinda sucks once in a while, it's crashed on me a couple of times. Worth checking out but not sure it's the best room out there...

“Good site. low traffic” by fantomas, 31 Oct 2006

Interface:  4/5   Action:  2/5   Support:  2/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  3/5

Bodog offers some loose games but has not nearly enough fixed limit tables. Sometimes not even 1 at the limit you want to play, not even at small stakes. No limit traffic is much better (10+ tables). I've had some problems with not answering my emails. I would play pretty often at this site, but theres is just not enough limit traffic and I am a limit player.

“Bodog Update and New Interface” by Slumpy, 16 Apr 2006

Interface:  2/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  4/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  3/5

Kinda sucks, IMHO. I've run into some issues with this latest update, so software has room for improvement. I would expect there to be several updates to the software coming soon. But the players and tables are fun, it is pretty fishy and worth checking out. I like having many online poker accounts (although I don't leave money in all of them) but it's convenient when someone is holding a good freeroll or offers a good reload bonus!

Interface:  4/5   Action:  5/5   Support:  5/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  5/5

I started playing at Bodog a few weeks ago and have liked what i've seen. The interface is slick and has alot of nice features(like picture in picture for multi-tabling) but some people have experienced frequent client crashes. This is common with newly developed software but frustrating nonetheless. The $100 upfront bonus i received was nice and was easily worked off within a week playing 25nl tables. My bonus didn't appear in my account when i first signed up so I called customer support. The guy who answered was helpful and on top of things and I had my bonus within 5 minutes of being on the phone, so i'd so the customer support is pretty good. Cashouts are easy and I had mine processed and in my Firepay account in less than an hour. Hard to beat that. The competition is hard to describe, but i will say that it's fairly easy to make money here. Players for the most part aren't bad and have at least a fair knowledge of the game but they like to GAMBLE. Don't be surprised if you flop a set or some strong hand and raise large/go all in to stop draws and have 3-5 people call. This leads to some big payoffs and also to some ridiculous bad beats. In the end though, if you're putting the money in at the right times you'll come out way ahead here.

Interface:  5/5   Action:  4/5   Support:  3/5   Fish:  3/5   Bonus:  2/5

Interface is nice. There does seem to be a lot of bad beats but maybe its because of the loose play. I'm still playing there, but it is frustrating when your A,K looses to A rag.I don't know why,but you have to log out and then back in to see your acct updated after a winning or loosing session. Out of 10 I give this place a 7. Like I stated, bad beats and all-I still play there .

I have been playing Bodog for a month now and after only a $100 deposit I now have almost $900. The players are total fish here. I havent tried to withdraw yet and I do not know how well that will go. Tournys have huge shortfalls which makes them a great bargain.

I signed up through pokersourceonline and got a 100% bonus. Wow that sounds great. But, like the review mentions, they make this balance available immediately. The money is removed from your 'bonus account' and deposited in your 'eCash account'. This does not mean you've earned the bonus. I tried to withdraw my initial deposit, they reclaimed the bonus and returned the remainder. The only warning they provide requires you to log-in to their web-site within 48 of placing your withdraw request. Near the top in 10pt font is says '1 new message'. This message was a warning, since I did not read this message I forfeited my bonus. That is their policy.

Interface:  5/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  4/5   Fish:  5/5   Bonus:  3/5

definetly my favorite poker site right now, and for several reasons. 1. compition is easiest i've ever seen, even easier than the partyskins. 2. Lots of tournament action, and the bonus can be cleared via tournaments. the best thing is the guaranteed tournaments, because there is always a huge shortfall. you're basically getting $20 payouts for a $10 price. I recently played a $7 $2500, it wasn't a very big field and was able to take home $400 for 2nd place. they also have 1-on-1 SNGs which I like, which I think are only offered at stars and UB, and those are also nice. layout is sleek, customer service is good. people complain about a lot of suckouts here, which I have noticed, but I honestly think it is because so many people get their money in with the worst hand that is happens more often. my only complaint is the lack of traffic. If you want to play anything else besides hold 'em, this is not the site for you.

I PLAY AT BODOG ALL THE TIME... I SPEND MY TIME PLAYING THERE AND FULL TILT AND I HAVE GOT TO SAY THAT BODOG GIVES ME MORE OF A CHALLENGE THAN ALL THE OTHER SITES I HAVE TRIED. THE POKER BASE IS EXCELLENT.... IT DOESN'T LAG LIKE MOST OF THE SITES IVE DOWNLOADED. AS FOR BAD BEATS, I'VE EXPERIENCED SO MANY, BUT IT DRAMATICALLY DECRESED AFTER PLAYING FOR AWHILE. EACH SITE HAS DIFFERENT THINGS, BODOG JUST HELPS YOU BECOME A BETTER PLAYER! AFTER PLAYING AT BODOG I INCREASED MY BANKROLL BY 32%!

“Bad beats” by saywhat, 30 Jul 2005

Interface:  3/5   Action:  3/5   Support:  5/5   Fish:  5/5   Bonus:  5/5

I play at BODOG all the time. I share my time between BODOG, PP and Fulltilt. the amount of bad beats I have taken and continue to take on BODOG is incredible. Some times it seems almost mathematically impossible. I had a run where 4 out of 10 times I held kings some body else held aces. That is almost impossible. Outside of that the reload Bonus is great and the players are the worst I have seen anywhere. The customer support team is excellent. Be prepared to fill out a lot of paper work when cashing out. So as I say I like the site but the Bad beats are staggering.

“Bodog Review - Still Weak” by Frank R, 09 Jul 2005

Bodog is a legitimate poker site, but still lacking in players and traffic. They are growing but does not offer the action and player base that I prefer. I like to shop tables and multi-table so Bodog isn't the best room for me. Everything else is pretty good, I'll try back in a few months.

My first night I won over $120 at .50/1 tables, and a lot of it was from poorly executed plays by players who bet a lot of middle pairs hard or when they are two or three pair strengths back from what is showing on the board. No need for fancy lures here boys. Just straight up poker will win you some cash and fatten up that bankroll. Bodog is CASHTASTIC!

“High Action. Low Reality” by Fuchida, 12 May 2005

Interface:  4/5   Action:  5/5   Support:  5/5   Fish:  4/5   Bonus:  3/5

If you like action, this is the site for you. However, the number of bad beats and cold deck situations is amazing so if you want anything like poker reality, avoid the site. Very low probability situations happen every few hands. I have played several other sites, including Party, and nothing compares to Bodog in that regard. I have played bodog for 2-3 months because I like the reload bonuses and I haven't noticed any correlation between cashouts and bad luck and I think that ould be almost impossible to program anyway. The sort of good news is that the draws out affect everyone equally but the sheer number of them means that chasers do not do as badly as on other sites. What makes me most suspicious is that they will not allow downloading of hand histories in the same way as other sites so there is no way to analyse a large number of hands as you can as on Party, PokerStars, etc. Although I have made reasonable money from Bodog, its because I have adopted a defensive style that assumes major draw outs and bad beats happen a lot more often than normal. I try to avoid the inevitable drawouts, or at least lessen their impact, and make more money when I hit one of the regular monster hands. When I clear my current bonus though I am going to change sites as the situation has reached ridiculous proportions in recent weeks. I find myself typing 'amazing' at least ten times per day and that is only for hands in which I am involved. As I said at the start, if your interest in poker is fun and action and you aren't too bothered about making lots of money, this site will be fine. Those with tilty tendencies stay away for the good of your health

doesn't get much better than this...You actually get REAL CARDS..not software generated hands to make the site more money

Ok, first of all, IT'S NOT RIGGED! Their interface looked kinda ugly at first, but I got use to it, the pre-action action buttons were g00t too. Past midnight it does take awhile for SNG and ring games to fill up. Their MTTs have HUGE overlays (10k guranteed for $8.50...), but unfortunately I could not make a final table :(. Their techincal/customer support was superb, and I appreciated the fact it was not outsourced, hell, there was humour present in my emails from customer service. Bodog is a total fish pond, I soundly beat the 50NL ring game and SNGs (5, 10, 20, and 30). Bodog offered me a 100% deposit bonus up to $100 because I had opened an account nearly 6 months ago and had not deposited, after clearing that I deposited to take full advantage of the 20% reload bonus. I found the bonuses relatively easy to clear. You receive your bonus money immediately, but must accumulate 3 Bodog points for every bonus dollar to cash out. Here is Bodog's link regarding the collection of Bodog points (which can redeemed to enter special tournaments) http://bodog.com/poker/poker-points.jsp

“Pros and Cons of Bodog” by texaseye, 06 May 2005

I've been playing Bodog for a while and I'm happy with everything except for the actual cards. The deposit/withdrawl system is great, Sit 'n Go's are cheap, game pace is fast and the interface is nice. Those are the pros. Now on to the cons. When you win a game, you money doesn't show up immediately in your account. Sometimes you have have to log out then log back in to see your new amount. Here's the big con: the cards. I have never; and I mean never seen so many hands made on the river. Every poker site has it's quirks, but this is absoutely rediculous. Bodog claims to use the most updated randmizing software, but their claim is pure bogus. Beware when playing this site, because unless your holding a royal flush, no good hand is safe. I know I sound like someone on tilt who just took a couple bad beats. However, I've experience this since day one and have been on the winning side of bad beats almost as much as the losing side. Bottom line: it shouldn't be like this. It takes the skill out of the game and rewards players who call anything on low percentage hands. My advice...play Bodog at your own risk.

I played at PokerRoom for play money for a couple of months. When I went to the hassle of trying to deposit, I encountered problems and gave up. A buddy recommended Bodog. The deposit/withdrawal system is the easiest that I've ever seen. You can transfer directly to and from your checking account (with a lag of a couple of days) without having to go through NetTeller or other pay systems. Also, the software is extremely sleek. The avatars are very helpful. The design isn't tacky like a lot of other sites. And, the action is fast. I tried PartyPoker recently...and I was extremely annoyed by how sluggish and tacky everything was. Some people have complained of getting "Bodogged"...but I have a feeling that these are people that can't handle bad beats. It's a part of poker...and with more hands online, you'll see more odd hands. I've made quite a bit of money playing on the site, so I don't quite understand where these people are coming from. The only complaint that I have is that there's not quite the variety of games that a lot of the other sites offer. The NLHE usually has at least a few active tables at each level, but some of the LimitHE/Omaha/Stud levels can be pretty uninhabited.

After regularly playing NL hold'em on BoDog for about 3 months i have to say it seems a little off. Never have i seen such drastic waves of good then bad runs. You will be up $100 one day with some rediculous hands. Flush after straight, pocket pairs and sets on the flop. Then the next day it seems like u loose that $100 with shitty cards and river bullshit. Its fun though. I am now a poker addict but im probally gonna change sites.

If you want fast paced action, go join bodog, more hands per hour. Not as many players as other sites since its relatively new, but can find plenty of action. sportsbook is a big plus.

BoDog gives you their BONUS INSTANTLY (10%), and they are the ONLY poker room that has a full-fledged sportsbook with it, since its actually an excellend sportsbook with a newer but very good poker room. Action is plenty at all levels, with both SNG (Sit-n-Go) and Single Table Tourney, and Scheduled Tourneys. It is linked officially to both WSOP and WPT, with tourneys that can get you seats at each! Plenty of fish at all levels, and I have done quite well myself. Freerolls EVERYDAY, that do not require a deposit nor require any kind of special points, they are FREErolls with real cash payouts. Bonus is great and instant, plenty of fish, and the site is safe and enjoyable.

Interface/Usability: very easy to use and software is lightning fast. Action: spotty but there is always a game to jump in. .25/.50 NL and .50/1 NL games are always running. Support: some of the best in the business. very fast. Games/Fish: When Bodog opened its poker room I was one of the first to deposit. Low limit games were scary. Fish everywhere and you just didn't know what the other player had until the cards were turned up. I made 3K in less than a month. Those days are now over. They are loose but not as insane as it was at opening day. Higher limits are tight like UB or Stars. SNG and multi table tourneys are VERY VERY tight. Bonus: at first they were easy to clear but now it is quite tough. Not worth playing for a bonus now. I am a BoDog regular and I play at least three times a week for about an hour. I always do two tables. Play has tightened and I do not win as much money. But I still show a profit here. I play 2/4 NL most of the time.

The Bodog Interface looks pretty good. The avatars are a nice touch(they can be hidden if you do not like them). The Action is weak at the time of this writing. The technical support is good. I called the 888 number and received prompt, professional help. The game was tough for me. It could have been just a short term thing but it seemed like there were not as many fish as I had hoped there would be. The bonus was immediate for me. I saw the 10% bonus immediately after making the deposit. I know 10% is not that much but having the money show up right away without having to play x number of raked hands was a nice change.
