Road to 100 Billion: How to Win
Win by playing real money cash games on PokerStars. The more tables you play, the more chances you have to win. Just be dealt in one of the millionth hands from hand #89,700,000,000 to #90,000,000,000, and win extra if you end up scooping the pot. How much you win depends on a few factors:
Milestone: Any Hand Ending in 000,000
Dealt: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $60) + $20 = Cash Prize
Win: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $60 + $20) x 2 = Cash Prize
Mega Milestone: Hand # 90,000,000,000
Dealt: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000) + $10,000 = Cash Prize
Win: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000 + $10,000) x 2 = Cash Prize

PokerStars Road to 100 Billion Details |
The number one online poker room looks to celebrate its Road to 100 Billion with a huge promotion. Money will be given away at every 5 billionth hand (and hands leading up to that point). The next milestone hand on the road to 100 Billion is number 90 Billion. We offer a live update of the current hand number and is available at the top of this page. You don't even have to refresh, the count will update every minute!
During the entire promotion, it’s extremely important to know exactly which hand is being played. Up-to-the-minute information is critical and this webpage brings poker players that information. Players should keep this webpage open as the 90 billionth hand at PokerStars nears. Obviously, as the hand number approaches 90 billion, the chances of hitting that huge jackpot increase. Moreover, the closer to 90 billion, the more fish will be seated at the tables also trying to win the grand prize. This makes the promotion by PokerStars profitable in more than one way.
For those that don’t know, the PokerStars Road to 100 Billion is one of the most popular poker promotions on the internet. More than $1,000,000 will be given out to the poker community. Cash game players dealt into any millionth hand from 89,700,000,000 to 90,000,000,000 will win a cash prize. The player that wins the 90 billionth hand is guaranteed at least $20,000.
How to Win?
Just play cash games like you normally would. If the table you are on happens to be dealt a milestone hand, you will win cash! How much?
All players dealt into a regular milestone hand (any millionth hand), win a base prize of $20 plus $60 for every VIP Player Point, or VPP, earned within the last 50 hands at the table. The winner of the main pot will have his or her cash prize doubled. The mathematical formula is as follows:
Dealt into Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands * $60) + $20
Win Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands * $60 + $20) * 2
The formula for the Mega Milestone hand is very similar to that of the regular milestone hands. There are two major differences; $1,000 is awarded for each VPP and there is a base prize of $10,000! That’s a huge difference! As with the last formula, the winner’s stake is doubled.
Dealt into Mega Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands * $1,000) + $10,000
Win Mega Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands * $1,000 + $10,000) * 2
Obviously, players want to play more hands and earn as many VPPs as possible to maximize their potential prizes during this awesome promotion. To do this, players should play at as many tables as possible for as long as possible. This increases the number of hands played per unit time which increases the odds of being dealt into a milestone hand. To earn as many VPPs as possible during the 50 hand window, players should loosen their starting hand requirements. Entering as many pots as possible is the only way to increase the VPP/hand ratio.
Road to 100 Billion History/Past Winners
It’s interesting to read about some of the past winners of the Road to 100 Billion promotion. The most recent winner won the 80 billionth hand at PokerStars. It took place at a $.10/$.25 no-limit hold’em table (which shows even microstakes players have a chance!). The player, funex700, won $179.88 via the pot. Of course, that was peanuts compared to the $22,940 the Mega Milestone hand awarded him. Everybody else won more than $10,000 just for being present at the table.
Sometimes the Mega Milestone hand ends in a split pot. The 75 billionth hand is an example of that. Two players, edroqui07 and acer2831, split the 75 billionth pot with a seven-high straight on a 5s3s7s6hTc board. Both players held a four the idiot-end of the straight. This goes to show that any hand can win at any time so, if you enter a milestone hand, make sure not to fold! edroqui07 won $42,810 while acer2831 finished with $34,600. Both players were playing shortstacked at a 6-max $1-$2 limit hold’em table.
As mentioned, it is best to play for as long as possible. The winner of the 70 billionth hand was awake until 6:01am trying to hit the grand prize. He is probably happy he stayed up as he hit the jackpot at a $.25/$.50 no-limit hold’em heads-up table. The winner, koenigskebap, won $73,380 while the other player, DodgeUrOuts, won $1,690.
The 65 billionth hand was very similar to the 80 billionth hand. It was also played at a $.10/$.25 no-limit hold’em table. yllams was dealt big slick, an ace and a king. The board ran out AdAh9s4c7h and his hand held up. He won $68,420 while the other players at his table won $1,710. As the hand ended, yllams typed into the chat: “I have work in a few hours.” What an exciting day of work that must have been!
It may seem that the Mega Milestone hands only hit at the small stakes tables. However, the Mega Milestone 60 billionth hand was hit at a $5/$10 table. Pogo650 was grinding six tables for numerous hours. He was on tables from $1/$2 up to $5/$10. The Mega Milestone hand hit at the $5/$10 table which was a good thing for the players as they earn more VPPs at those stakes. Pogo650 won a grand total of $102,090 making it the biggest Mega Milestone hand hit thus far.
Good luck going for the grand prize. Be sure to keep an eye on the hands counter to know when the Mega Milestone is approaching!
