PokerStars Mobile is now available worldwide. The PokerStars brand reputation for quality and trustworthiness is shown through the brilliance of it's mobile app and poker players are proclaiming the benefits of being able to play PokerStars where ever they may be. Something to note before we begin, PokerStars mobile uses about 10kb download and about 5kb upload every minute so if you have a restrictive data plan you may want to upgrade before you begin playing on PokerStars Mobile through anything but wifi!
In order to install the PokerStars mobile app on your phone there are a few steps you must take. Currently you can not sign up or deposit through the mobile client! All new users must create a new account through the web client. (If you already have a PokerStars account with available funds, you can skip the below steps)
How to Download the PokerStars Desktop Client
1 - Download the PokerStars desktop client with any of the PokerStars links on this page.
2 - Install the software. (For more information, see - PokerStars download and installation instructions.
3 - Create a new account. (Make sure to use the PokerStars Marketing Code FlopTurnRiver when creating your account!)
4 - Make a real money deposit if you wish to play for real money. If this is your first time depositing on PokerStars you can claim their first deposit bonus which is 100% up to $600 (€465, £400). Be sure to use the bonus code STARS600 each time you deposit so that each deposit you make will be credited towards the bonus. 5 - Once your account is created and you have money in your PokerStars account you are ready to play! (The PokerStars mobile client also offers play money games if you just want to try it out.)
In order to download the PokerStars mobile client on to your phone you have several options, depending if you have an Apple product (such as an iPhone or iPad) or Android device.
 iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch Installation Instructions
The easiest solution is to click the button above to visit the PokerStars App on iTunes (alternatively you can search for PokerStars in the App Store). Within a few clicks you will have the mobile app installed and ready to play.
You can also download the app on your desktop through iTunes and then synch your device with iTunes and that will also install the client.
You can visit http://www.pokerstarsmobile.com for the App Wizard, select Mobile Poker, input your country and telephone number and a link will be sent to your phone with step by step setup instructions.
Lastly you can scan the QR code shown to the right with a QR reader and it will take you to a download link for your Apple device.
 Android Installation Instructions
The instructions are very similar for your Android device. Again, the easiest way is to click the button above or visit the Market App on your Droid device, search for PokerStars, and download the mobile app directly onto your phone.
PokerStars also has an App Wizard for Android devices at http://www.pokerstarsmobile.com.
The QR Code you see on the right of this page is also good for Android devices. So if you have a QR read, you can scan and install the client within minutes.
Software Review
Once you've created an account and set up the mobile app on your device you are finally ready to play poker anywhere you go. Open up the app and you'll be taken to the PokerStars mobile poker app. Log in with your PokerStars user name and password and you'll be ready to start playing poker. Click the lobby and you'll see that since the PokerStars desktop and mobile client are linked so you have the full array of all of PokerStars games available to you from 2nl to 5k HUSNG's. Click into the lobby and choose whether you want to play ring games, sit and goes or tournaments. From there choose if you want to play for play money, USD, or Euros, the type of game you wish to play, either Hold'Em, either no limit, limit or pot limit. Omaha, either limit or pot limit and Omaha Eight or Better, either pot limit, no limit or limit. Then select the stakes for you wish to play for, the kind of table you wish to play, either CAP, 40-100bb or 100-250bb and either heads up, six max or full ring. Click play now if you wish to jump straight into the action or click show games if you wish to browse which games are available.
Once you start playing start playing you'll notice one thing, the interface is very clean and easy to use. The buttons are all very big and the slider is very responsive. The chip counts of every play is very easy to read and the table interface does not seem at all cramped or crowded. Everything runs very smoothly and actions you make are reacted to quickly by the software. On the top of the screen you'll see a few options which would be a lobby as well as your tables. When the action is to you there will will be a red and white exclamation point reminding you that it is your turn to act on that particular table as well as showing you what hole cards you have been dealt.
You can play up to five tables on the PokerStars mobile app and the software runs just as well with one table as it does with five. The games you play are the same as the PokerStars desktop client so you truly get the PokerStars experience with this app. Multi Tabling is quick and easy just like it is on PokerStars desktop client and you generally get the same experience you would playing at your computer except you can now play on PokerStars where ever you go. It seems PokerStars has found yet another way to dominate the industry in the post Black Friday world by filling yet another void that Full Tilt Poker left after they shut down.
