SDM, the difference between survivor and SK is survivor is crap and SK is fun. It's very hard to win as SK but man I'd love to get my hands on that role. Survivor, your win condition is to outlive everyone, your strategy to not get lynched or nommed. I threw a survivor into my role madness game, but it was merged with lost wolf, so if the survivor was looked up by the wolves (they had a sort of role cop) then he became wolf, if he was attacked by the vig he became wolf, and if he was attacked by the wolves he became villager. Wuf binked that role, and it gave him a lot more to play for. I even gave him the option to just be vanilla townie from the off in case he didn't like his role. There's ways to bring survivor into the game, but a standard survivor is lame imo because you have no clear objective other than to avoid death, and have no control over who dies other than your vote to enhance your chances of it happening.

Giving your vote to a villager as a wolf means you give the village more voting power. That's a plus for the village. You make the point that it's also a good wolf play. Overall I think it's a wash but I could be wrong. Way back, I've seen people do it a couple times, including Keith iirc.

It's not a bad villager play, it's just it's not a bad wolf play either. It depends who you're giving your vote to. I don't intend to be mean to drew, I like him, and you aren't to know, but giving your vote to him isn't really all that strong, regardless of his status.

Also, this. I realise my seer claim was bullshit, but the idea that I was promoting had merit. Next time I'm seer, I'm going village hunting, not wolf hunting. This game we saw the seer totally own the wolves, yet the wolves nearly won. Clearing villagers is often more powerful than nailing a wolf, they can't dodge process of elimination.

I liked the SK role I got. I was trying to get vig'd so I could become a wolf, and it worked but apparently I was so suspicious that more than one team targeted me. Regardless, the whole "try to get vig'd or nom'd so you can have a new role" provides a unique way to play. I was able to help the village the best I could while also looking like I was hiding something |

Thanks Luco. BTW you played well in a, dare I say, wuf kind of way. What I mean is the whole "lynch the wrong person yet figure out the right person based on that" thing. By now I'm sure everybody knows my philosophy is that wrong lynches are never wrong if they lead in the right direction. Anyways, your switch to Rilla after the Keith lynch was the reason why I said in the dead thread that the final day is sorta like the fourth wall collapsing because the villagers have a wealth of easy to read information based on who died, who didnt die, and why |
