Thats right, second hand into the MT SNG, 4 players are dealt pocket pairs, one catches the nuts, me and another unlucky smuck catch kk.. thats right we both had kk on the same had up agaisnt AA. and then theres the jerk that went all in with 77 (oops)

Is this normal? Ive been suffering horrible bad beats all day, or not so much bad beats, but weird and absurd circumstances. I know its a game of luck, but thats just ridiculous. You know?

first thing i'd say is, your first hand in the sng is K10os, i think your raise is questionable. I fold this every time. Now true, the other guy had even less business playing his hand, but you did break even, its not too big of a shocker to me.

Second hand, yea that sucks, you were dead in the water before the flop. Very unfortunate I'd say, but I would even consider laying them down here. With so much action, you knew you were gonna be up against at least two people, maybe more, and you could probably put the two raisers before you on premium hands. the odds of you winning dip way down, even if you're up against AK and an underpair. Ring game- couldn't push faster. Second hand of a mt sng, i'd think twice.

BTW, to contribute to this. I guess the most bizarre beat I think i've ever seen, was two people in an MTT (started 220, maybe 80 left), both pushed all in pf with QQ. One of them made a flush. Was definently not his night.

Don't get so angry becuase someone else is playing a bad hand becuase it was sooted. Let them, this is the play you so desperately want to see at the higher stakes. Let them fish around all they want, you can beat that but not if you're micro-tilting and out for vengence.

See Scott Fischman's article in Cardplayer last issue. Final table of a big torunament was very similar situation only 6 handed there was AA KK JJ and some other big pair.

Hand 1: Don't raise preflop, KTo is very close to junk, should be limped/folded. And I think you should be betting the turn much more (pot sized), that could have forced him out there.

Hand 2: Unlucky, your kings ran into aces, nothing you can do about that.

yes, looking back I can see that. I was on an agressive expieriment. Works fairly well in 5+1 3 tables on PP, but you have to learn when to tone it down. Second hand was just weird.. running into KK vs KK is weird, but with AA, and another pair in play is even weirder. On top of that I had been playing these all day and hitting top 8. I guess I was trying to abuse players too much when they where scared to bust out before the money.

I dont know.. it just sucks to take that beat, then grab KK and see the other callers and realize with such a nice hand you have no outs.
