It has been suggested that we try to stage a repeat of the SNG experiments that took place late last year since everybody who participated had a lot of fun and really got a lot out of the process.

For those who are not aware of these, basically we set up a private $10+1 tourney at Stars with 9 players, play the game, then each player provides comments on the HH not only on their own play but on what they've observed at the table of other players' play, table dynamics, reads, other observations. Somebody then merges all the HHs so we can see everybody's hole cards and comments on the one document.

Here are the threads from the previous SNG experiments:
Link to North America SNG experiment
Link to Euro SNG experiment

This is an example of the output that can be expected from the process:
NA tourney results
Euro tourney results

To cope with timezone issues, and assuming that the northern hemisphere is all on summer time (I know there's a week's difference between Europe and the US) I suggest that the tourney be held on a Saturday or Sunday at roughly the following times:
- 1-2pm Pacific time
- 4-5pm EST
- 9-10pm GMT/UK
- 10-11pm CET
- 6-7am Sydney (happy to sit out if I am the constraining factor)

To allow time to arrange the game, I suggest we aim for around mid-April for the game, although if we can get it arranged sooner (say the last weekend in March) that's good too. If we get enough interest, we can split the groups into a North American and European game like we did last year to perhaps allow a bit more flexibility in the timezones.

If you're interested, please reply in this thread and we'll try to get the ball rolling.

Count me in. Sounds like a great time and a solid way to learn.
It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

What is Eastern Time Zone? (New York). Is it GMT +5? Trying to update profile in case you need to know where everyone is from to set up.

I just read the last one you guys did and it was very educational to see how all of the hands played out.

I would be interested in doing something like this in about a week or so. Keep us posted on the details!
Once all-in and called, you are simply at the mercy of the cards.
