I'll get into this more tomorrow, but for the final hand - talked it over with Taipan, I think the main mistake I made here was making a flop raise without considering what odds that would give me if he pushed. If I'd raised smaller, I can get away from the hand and not have a bad stack. Good lesson there.

I finally got time to review the last couple of these and although I don't have any additional comments other than those that have already been made I would like to point out that this was an EXTREMELY good game and one that showcases multiple styles of play as well as a couple of people who changed things up quite a bit.

Things that people can take away from this are:

1) Seeing how "tight is right" really works in the early stages of the tournament.

2) Get a good feel for steals in the mid stages

3) get a great feel for push/fold poker during the end stages.

All in all I think everyone played pretty well during the entire tournamant and look forward to doing this again.

Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I've run out of enthusiasm to go back through this carefully. I did want to point out that playing "standard" STT poker worked fairly well for me, but dont forget so did a bunch of others. Cocobill and DH in particular played perfect STT poker and one took a beat and the other a cooler. Thats STTs for you. Playing well doesnt mean you'll neccessarily do well in a particular tourney, but it should do well over the long term.

Just playing to improve.
