In your strategy you say you would like to raise 3x big blind when you decide to play a hand. Does this apply when there are people check ahead or you?

Depends on the size of the blinds.
With big blinds, you can make the same raise. Wth smaller ones, I'd raise 3BB + whats in the pot already.
