I am going to partake on a quest to play 1000 200+15 PP sngs. The reason I am partaking on this quest is to motivate myself to play more often and too get a good measure of the results I can expect on the 200+15s. I will be updating my stats in this thread from time and you guys can comment in here as well. I will be running them in sets of 4-8 tables at a time.
# Played : 209
Buy in +fee: $44,935.00
Amount won: $65,200.00
Net Amount: $20,265.00

ITM: 46.4%
Avg Finish 4.22
Finish distribution:
1st Place- 32

Wowsers, 2 weeks? That's like, 70 a day! If you're 8-tabling at the 200 level, can I have your autograph?

how is up 300 bucks running bad??????? I had a 13 OOTM streak yesterday and ended up down 4 buyins for the day. It is not running good but winning is much better than losing your arse. And LOL on the guy that said "ICM?"
aces did you study icm math using eastbays tool or tinker on your own. I have been gong back and doing the math is some of my sngs and have been about 85 percent right according to icm..... im not there yet but close

Aces(and other succesful SNG multi-tablers) -
Do you simply buy into the first x games you can, or do you space it out so you're not hitting the same levels at all tables at the same time? I'd love to see somebody write a sticky on multitabling vs. one at a time for SNGs. I still haven't got the hang of it, though I haven't tried it too much yet. I depend on my reads and can't imagine taking notes on 4-8 tables at a time. I do multitable ring games reasonably well.
How long did it take to succesfully(again, for anyone) multitable?
(BTW, awesome stats so far aces )

wat I used to do
start 2 or 3 up all at the same time. Bubble was manageable with 3 tables but not 4.
wat i do now (thank u rilla)
start up 2
wait till it gets to 25/50
start up another 2
bubble is now manageable becuase they are not at the same time.
i assume that if you are going to add more than 4 tables
you could
start up 3 instead of 2
or
start up 4 instead of 3
multitabling isnt that hard if youve done the same thing over and over and over and over again.
and by that i mean getting really good at folding =D.

Me too. I find that if I am on the bubble in two and early in 2, I may end up pushing all in with A9 on the wrong table.

I assume you guys play fairly straightforward(i.e. somewhat less read-dependent) when multitabling? When I'm not tilting, I'm pretty good about folding alot of hands, so that shouldn't be a problem.
What kind of drop-off(if any) do you find in your ROI?
I'm mostly one-tabling PP 50+5 and 100+9 now. I've messed around with 2-3 tables at the PS 5+.50 without much luck(starting them at the same time). I'm tempted to try 2 tabling the PP 20+2 since I'm more comfortable with that blind structure for whatever reason, and run them at 20-25 minute intervals.
And OK laugh at me, but seriously what is ICM ?

ICM is a heuristic for determining $EV in a tourney setting. Put simply, it models each chip as a lottery ticket to win, and your $EV in a situation is determined by marching the tree of chances to win each place.

its a way to equate chip stack to money equity.
this is an old ICM post that I did.
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...t=watch+videos
it was a big debate =D.
How many PP SNGs have u played and are you a winning player at the SNGs? (directed towards aces)

I would like more info on this as well.... I know you tried to "put it simply", but I'm picturing a bunch or trees that are marching with lottery tickets... No prob, I'll try a forum search...

ok hows this
with x players left
you have y chips
and those y chips equate a z% of the prize money.
That is ICM.

Perhaps I should have said "put it tersely", it's not a simple concept unless you're as much of a math nerd as I am. But I don't want to turn ace's thread into the ICM thread, I might post an explanation with examples later, and try to sum up why I think VQ likes it too much for an encore.
(edit - "That is ICM." Well, sorta. That's a very rough approximation of it.)

Is PP the only place you can get that much 200 SNG action? Most of the day you couldn't play 4 200 SNSs at the same time at PS, and 4 is the max I think.

I don't have my ROI - one of my goals is to track results a little better. I've gotten all my SNG results from PS(much smaller sample). I'm hoping PP will be able to give me the same thing. The last few times I've checked stats on poker prophecy my "win"(ITM) % was about 38-39%, which put me in the second hightest category(my results have improved greatly in the last 3 months), but even before then I was a winning player.

Finally played my 1000th 200+15 SNG on PP.
ITM: 37%
ROI: measly............ 7%
Total profit: Barely over 15k.
Conclusion: Im not as good as I thought I was, and I think I will make more 8 tabling the 109s then 4 tabling the 215s.

what kind of charts? just curious how you chart something out like ICM where the variables are so, well, varied.
