So he's on the button , he limps, hes chip leader.... He throws down a pot size bet. I like your push... Is he limping alot ???? I seriously put him on hearts or connectors. I notice big stacks like to limp more than they like to raise. I also notice big stacks like to raise min alot. What did you put him on Rocky?

I put him on A9, A8, TT, or JJ. There's just no reason for a hand that beats me to lead with a pot sized bet here.

Why wouldn't somebody leading bet?? Maybe he's got AK or even KK but is worried about the flush draw and wants you to pay if you are to chase it. If that's the case, I'd rather take down the pot now rather than later. |

Good push, teach him not to donkbet. You're ahead here more often than not.

I'd say he has something like KJ/KT and he's worried about the straight and flush draws. Or it could be JT (of hearts?) on a semi-bluff, but if so, you're not a favorite to win with 2 cards to go.... I fold here without a read, and you should have a read on that by the 50/100 level if the guy's making a lot of bluffs or semi-bluffs...

My range for opp. would be huge here. He could have any piece of the flop/a draw/or a hand that beats you. Your push is ok since you are ahead of more hands in his range than you are behind, but I can easily see opp. playing AK/QK this way and wouldn't assume his bet means I am ahead. |

I wouldn't rule out a weak K here. If this player is maintaining a LAGGed image then pot-betting into you with a king is a reasonable play... if not standard.

The hands he could have that are probably KJ, KT, 88 or 99. All these hands either look for the C/R or lead the flop smaller.

Ok so I understand the push. Your right Rocky about AK or KK re raising, so I would have ruled that out. Say he put in a half size bet... Would you have raised him all in or raised double? And if he came back over the top you would lay it down or no?????????????? I think of a pot size bet as a protection bet, as in protecting something under top card on the flop. I commented earlier on paying to draw... is there anyway to ever figure this out... People like to keep the pot within reason if they should hit their flush and straight draws ... Many people will bet into them, any real tells when they are doing this? For instance, someone betting a 1/4th of the pot to keep their odds within reason?????

I think your push is solid here with a read that opp likes to c-bet if he hits the flop in a good way (or at least not poorly) |
