In order to gain a better understanding of how most people do in sit and go's, I decided to make this thread so everyone can post there sng statistics. It will be much neater if everyone posts the same way so try to use this as a guideline...
Code:
SNG's Played :
Buy-in:
Site:
ITM:
ROI:
Wins:
Profit:
Notes about these particular games:
So here are mine. They are very inflated as its a low sample size and I have hit a great run of cards. I will edit this when they return to normal which hopefully isnt for a while.
SNG's Played : 183
Buy-in: $22' and $33's
Site: Ultimate Bet
ITM: 46%
ROI: 24%
Wins: 23
Profit: $1109 (after entry fee)
Notes: All my stats that I have tracked. The games at UB are a little tougher than Stars and PP, but there still easy to beat.

Buy-in: 10+1
Site: Bodog
ITM: 36.4
ROI: 15.7
Wins: 5
Profit: 57
Notes about these particular games: I have OTMed 7 out of the last eight. 5 5 4 6 4 2 7 4. Bad timing on steals, O WELL!

Good thread. I just finished my first 100 SNGs and I'm up a small amount. I'm thinking of quitting them just because I come into the bubble as chip leader 80% of the time and lose 80% of the time. btw, I used SNG tracker for these stats, great program.
SNG's Played : 100
Buy-in: 1.10's and 5.50's
Site: Ultimate Bet
ITM: 46%
ROI: 19%
Wins: 15 (I can only tell because it says I win 15% of the time)
Profit: $64.60
Notes about these particular games: I started playing at the 1's and did well so I moved up to the 5's and started off doing well, but then I hit a slump towards the end. I don't seem to be able to recover either.
Profit graph that does not include the rake (so it's a little high) http://www.probe-gt.com/misc/poker/Profit%20Graph.png
Finish Graph: http://www.probe-gt.com/misc/poker/Finish%20graph.png
Only got tenth once. First hand I go AI with KK and AKo hit an ace.
ITM seems very random in these games. Being a huge chip leader means nothing. I've had a third of the chips early on and still lost in many of these. Most of my wins were coming from behind where I just outplayed the others. Cards sucked either way.

SNG's Played : 127
Buy-in: $10+1
Site: Poker Stars
ITM: 52%
ROI: 46.9%
Wins: 25
Profit: $655 (after entry fee)
Notes: 9 player tournies. I had a downswing in the middle, from sng #39 to sng #92 i made a net loss of $32 My ROI over the rest was insane though

I've hit a bad run of cards/luck this last week - This must be my first bad run
Had to happen at somepoint.

Site: Party Poker
ITM: 58.33%
ROI: 81.82%
Wins: 5,5,4 (1st,2nd,3rd)
Profit: $648
Notes: Just from last night 6/20 I went on one heck of a rush
I don't have enough for a true expected ROI..
Few bubble mistakes, few HU mistakes, few luckouts

SNG's Played : 247
Buy-in: 30+3 $
Site: Party Poker
ITM: 37,2 %
ROI: 17,4%
Wins: 14,5%
Profit: 1419$
Notes about these particular games: SNG Tracker doesn't tell me the number of wins I have, so I estimated from the graph. I'm on a pretty bad downswing right now, ITM tends to fluctuate between 36 and 40 and ROI between 15 and 25.
On a really non-related note, I saw mike4066 at the tables yesterday (you stole the last seat of a sng from me once, bastard )

SNG Tracker can import directly from the PP Hand Histories that end up in a folder, so less work for you. Unless I didn't understand how it works correctly, I think it only gives you a profit graph, a ITM/ROI graph, and a position graph, but without giving you the actual numbers for each position. It gives you ROI, ITM, $/tourney, $/hour (but without calculating multi-table utilisation, bummer). All in all, the spreadsheet gives better info but I can't get it to auto-import so I use SNG tracker.

I only started using the SNG spreadsheet (which I can highly recommend) last week, my stats so far:
SNG's Played : 14
Buy-in: $5+.50
Site: PokerStars
ITM: 50%
ROI: 51.9%
Wins: 3, 3, 1 (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
Profit: $40

Where can I get the SNG Spreadsheet?
BTW, some very nice results for SNG here.
Experienced guys, which site do you prefer for playing $5-$10 SNGs ?
I started playing at Poker Stars, but as begginer, I do not know if it's recommended. Will post my results when I have a decent sample size.

Thanks, but can you tell me where to get it and if it is any different or better than PokerTracker?
I already run PT and can generate all the info listed along with the number of times in each position but with the possible exceptions of the graphing. Is SNG tracker better or just repetitive effort?
Thanks

SNG tracker won't help you with your game and show you mistakes or stats that you need to change or anything like that. It just gives you your stats on how well you're playing.
One flaw with it is the profit graph doesn't subtract the rake paid in and the ROI graph is based on that as well, so the ROI listed on the main screen (which is correct) is different from the ROI on the ROI graph. The filtering feature doesn't work exactly right either, but that's not a big deal.
Much easier than figuring out that spreadsheet though.
Yes, it will auto import party hand history's, but I use UB and so I just manually enter each SNG.

For beginners I'd go for the 10+1 on Party Poker (5$ have 1$ rake so 10 are a way better deal). They are very easy. I ran 65% ROI and 55% ITM there over 100 SNG's before moving up. I was probably running hot, but it probably still had a lot to do with the bad play that is rampant there. Anyway, if you plan on playing them on party, drop me a PM.

SnGs Played: 473
Sites: Stars, UB and Pacific mostly
Total Entries: $14,486
Total Prizes: $24,034
Total Profits $9547.40
ROI: 65.9%
ITM: 58.15%
I play at a variety of sites and at a variety of buy-in levels (whatever is starting soon) so these are my overall stats. I do have them broken down by: buying level....number of people at the table (ex: 9 @ Stars and 10 @ UB) and single or two-table...I can thow them up if interested, but it really is a whole lot of data.....I figured this told the overall story though. BTW, I use the "Super" SnG spreadsheets that Mike gave me....I've all but quit using poker tracker.

not'hing to laugh at there.
Dont base your stats on anyone with less than a few hundred and don't try to keep up with DavSimon.
Dav is a MONSTER
Find the SnG Spreadsheet that was posted on here and it will be your BEST friend for SNG's.
If you want PM me and I'll send you a link to it.. it does pretty stuff like this.

I guess I should say, don't be dissapointed if after 400+ your SnG stats don't match Daves or some of the others.
One thing people don't see here is that most of these stats are for a very very small sample sizes. 50 SnG's does not constitute a true ROI.
You need Hundreds +, the more the better.

Site: Ultimate Bet
ITM: 52%
ROI: 13%

Notes: I was playing TAGG during al of these, wasnt good heads up either.
These are my stats for the $10 at UB. Note that I was ITM 52% but only had a 13% ROI. Thats what tight aggresive did for me. Once I got ITM i would just make some dumb move because I knew I won either way. The only reason I could make a small profit off these was because of all the fish there.

Dont make dumb moves and stop settling for ITM and play it out, your ROI will drastically improve.

Well I haven't started tracking a new batch. So here was my previous 20 from Stars.
SNG's played: 20
Buy-in: (20) $5/.50
Site: Poker Stars
ITM: 45%
ROI: About 40%
Finishes: 1st (4), 2nd (4), 3rd (1)
Net Profit Minus Buy-ins: $103.50 (17x4) (8x4) (3.50x1)
I think my math is right. Someone wanna check it out for me?

Had rough couple of days since I decided to come back to SNGs from ring games. At the moment I'm something like (off top of head as I'm at work so not exact):
Played 40 @ $5.50
ITM 60%
ROI -2%
Net -$4.00
The weird ITM/ROI ratio is because I was playing the 5 player ones on Royal Vegas for a while. 2 places paid, $7.50 for 2nd, $17.50 for first. Too many second places! Back to ten man on Pacific. Blinds doubling every ten hands on Royal Vegas is too much to take. Turned the corner now, and my previous 20 are about 40% ROI. Shows how bad the first twenty were! Made my first bankroll in SNGs so not too worried.
Strangely enough, I've played 12 MTTs in the same time and my stats are soooooooo much better:
Played 12, various buy-ins
ITM 50%
Final Table 33% ( )
ROI 90%
Net $50 (approx.)
Given that I've been rank rotten at MTTs and gave them up for months before this I am pleased with the improvement. Yet to get a first, but had a 4th and 5th.

Buy-in: 79@$5, 16@$10
Site: Stars
ITM: 49.4%@$5, 56.25%@$10
ROI: 40.9%@$5, 43.2%@10
Wins: 15@$5, 3@$10
Profit: $254 (after entry fee)
Notes: Was apprehensive about stepping up to the $10's, now I don't know what I was worried about. Although it is a very small sample, my stats for the $10's are virtually identical to the $5's. Moreover, my game has improved dramatically in the last few months, and the last few weeks in particular. Now I am just trying to get myself properly rolled for the step up to the $20's.

I just started keeping track via Poker Tracker. Started doing tournaments moved to ring games, got burned badly by fishermen so I went back to tournament and been having great success.
SNG's Played : 22
Buy-in: always 2 table $5, $6 turbo, $10, $15 turbo, $20
Site: Stars
ITM: 50%
ROI: 140.19%
Wins: 3
Profit: $366 (after entry fee)
Plus I been playing on Pacific but I don't know how to export those. Pulled out my initial deposit as soon as I made a little so I am only playing with profits.

Notes about these particular games: I've finally found my nitche after alot of losing (as in down 6 buy-ins at 1 point) so hopefully these numbers increase in the coming days.

Well, after giving up the crapshoot Royal Vegas SNGs for the Pacific 10-handed here are my latest stats. Not had much time for poker lately so there are only 30 SNGs in this sample:
Staked £170.50
Return $290.00
ROI 70%
ITM 53%
Return $119.50
% Firsts 23%

i decided to give the 50s on multipoker (partyskin where i have rakeback) a try again. i played these a while ago and made a decent amount but then took a huge hit when i moved the the 100s, not that i thought the play was much better, but just hit a huge downswing and probably tilted some after that. recently i decided to give the 50s a shot again when i wasn't busy with multis and so far the results have been great.
59 played
27 itm
46% itm
43% roi
+$1405
i'll continue multi tabling these for a while in between the multis i've been playing and after a while if it continues to run this well i'll give the $100 sngs another shot
