I played 4 $5=$1 SitnGo's for the first time tonight. I used a very aggressive approach based on RippyTide's guidelines. I bluffed so many pots just by playing off of weakness. Then everyone thought I was a maniac and bet into my real hands. Thanks to everyone on here for advice. I think I found my new calling. I'll post some hand histories later to show how I applied RippyTide's and theDoc's principals.

So, I paid $24 total to play and won $65 for a profit of $41. The first game I was clueless but still came out on top because the other player's weakness. The last game, I really made some sly moves. Two people went allin vs. my 3k allin and lost to my flopped straight because I had bullied the last 2 hands.

Thatīs great, r8ed. But, and I donīt want to spoil your happiness, however you will experience losing streaks in SnG's too. I took a shot at SnG's a while ago and my first ten games were going great. I was in the money 50 % of the time and my ROI was about the same figures. Then I suddenly went on a cold run. I think I may have overestimated my ability, but generally I think it just came down to variance. After a while I went back to ring games.

Just take it easy and donīt go up in stakes until you have played a nice bunch of games so you know youīre beating it.

I'm staying at this level for the reason you stated. I don't want to go on a cold streak at higher stakes. But I earned almost 6 free entries with my winnings and learned more along the way. Thanks for the advice.

sounds like squishiness to me, but yes you'll have to do a few hundred more to know if you're genuine profitable.

Be sure to keep track of 'em, too. Your recollections about how many you've won/placed in can get jacked up.

I would definately keep a spreadsheet of your winnings. It's a great way to monitor your progress. I would also post this in tournament tactics since this forum is more aimed towards ring NL.
