hi all this is my first post here(although i've read lots here). i've played poker for awhile and i tried a higher level sng today and decided when i started ill record all the hands regardless of how i do
Anyways hopefully someone can look over the hand history and give me helpful comments. Btw this was a $20 Sng.. I started with 75$ about a week ago and am now at $205.. i dont know if thats any relevance, but here goes. I can pretty much remember my thoughts on each call so if you have any questions on my style of play or helpful suggestions please dont hesitate.

I dont like the fact that i won that last hand, was i wrong to play it like that? i know i got extremely lucky and great cards heads up but on that last hand should i have done anything different? I didn't read all of it. But I read enough to tell you that you need to worry more about your play than others. You will get the all-in maniacs in a lot of games. Don't let it haunt you. What I'm noticing is you calling too often. Don't call with AJo in early position. If you are going to play it (I'm not so sure you should have played it in hand 4) you should raise or fold. Calling only allows others to out-draw you.

Use that same notion in a lot of hands. In addition to wanting to win the hand with the best cards, win the hands with the most agresive betting. You can win twice as many hands.

It seemed like you needed to be hit over the head with an out-bet sign-from-God before you attempted it.

Nice win, but just look forward to a time you don't need a good streak of cards to win a tournament.

thanks,,, but i did raise with AJ o from mid-early position that hand, and when i flopped the 2 pair with 2 flush chasers i did bet it hard..
I know i got the cards, pretty much anyone on this forum could have easily won that tournament with the hands i was getting, but an interesting thing to note was i did win roughly 4.5x the pots without a showdown then with a showdown.. i edited out alot of my steals/bluffs just due to how long it was and tried to show the hands when i had the cards and how i bet them. Was there any specific hands on ones i shouldnt be calling as much on? I remember one where i had K8, flopped crap and called the flop bet with junk because i thought he was buying it but besides that i cant remember any.

Also, since i am new,, out-bet-sign.. what does that mean?
betting out of position?
