Default flopping low two pairs ... ($10+$1, 2 tables)

Yuck. No idea how to play this hand. What's my course of action when I'm reraised on the flop? If I am calling, what am I doing on the turn?

I've been doing a bad job of figuring out what the villian has in situations like this. How do you go abouts deciding what he has? How do you bet to figure it out? Do you definitely rule out pair of jacks good kicker because he reraised? How do I know when I definitely have to fold?

Any way to justify my idiotic reraise on the river? What are the chances of scaring him away with my imaginary straight? I'm thinking not much ... lol every part of this hand makes me wanna cry. Should I learn to check/call? I hate doing that, but is this a case in which you have to?

Bah I'm lost. Thanks in advance.

I think he might have trips, if he doesnt I think you have him beat on the flop and turn, but theres a good chance its tip 5s I think.

ps. I bet I am horribly wrong and everyone laughs at me.

If you don't like your hand that much you should've taken the cheap show down. However it *is* still two pair in a 5 handed game. Faking that straight does you no good because no one should be in chasing that straight. The only hand that you can beat that *might* call your all in is AJ.

ps: When I don't know if I'm good but I have made my hand (you're obviously shooting for two pair or better with your hand so I consider your hand 'made') but they are offering me a cheap show down I'm inclined to take it.

    I pot the flop
and then fight for a cheap showdown.

I think u have 2 ways to play this hand...either reraise the flop and checkcall the turn/river...or checkcall from the flop if u have a read...ur allin on the river seems silly.

This is a pretty good line.

Alternatively, you don't have to worry about two pair as much here. In another thread, I wrote about letting go of two pair when the board had QJ3, and hero had J3. With TJ on the board, it's a little less worrisome, as villain's range is much wider. Furthermore, our villain is the button, who vpip, so this hand is different than sb v bb hands.

Anyhow, one thing that's worth considering, especially when the pot is not raised preflop (particularly if it's been raised less than 3xBBs), is don't find a way to stack off. A great many hands want to see showdowns. This is one of them. Your hand is strong. It's not the nuts.
