I played a large multi-table at Party last night. $30 registration fee, and about 750 people.

It was fun. I came in 63rd place or something like that, which was good enough to make it into the money. I played it very tight, and it worked well. I never slow played at all. If I had a monster flop, I bet it huge and was happy with just taking the money in the pot.

Two similiar hands made and broke me. I was heads up against a guy and I had TT. I was betting strong and he was calling. I checked to him on the river because another overcard came down. He bet it big, and I decided he was trying to buy the pot and re-raised him to put me all-in. He called, and flipped over high card Ace. Awesome!! The hand that killed me was playing 99 to 2x BB preflop raise, and then betting big after AAx flopped. The other guy had an Ace. That took me from an average stack to a short stack, and I was out of it a few orbits later.

I have to post one ridiculous bad beat that I took. I don't how this player made it this far in the tournament. Somehow I was able to recover from this and build my stack back up to average.

Maybe you should start folding Aces pre-flop?

haha, man, what an idiot ... calling an all in on an inside straight draw ... let alone the preflop call ...

Congrats on finishing in the money in your first multi-table tournament. They're what poker is all about, for me.

Nah, I think I win about 55% of the time with them, so it's still +EV.
