I'd never seen anything quite like this before, and thought I'd post it here. With a short stack all in & a call in front of me, and most of the table yet to act behind me, I didn't figure my tens were any good so I tossed them. I felt good about laying them down for about 2 seconds when I saw all their cards until I saw the ten come out ont he flop that would have won it for me. Home game with guys from work. It was at least 8 handed, $20 buy-in. Start with 1k chips, 50/100 blinds. Given that I worked for a major software company, this game would so not be worth it if it was raked. UTG opens for a raise, solid aggro player with a bounty on his head. I push from UTG+1 with 88. MP calls, LP calls! Blinds fold, UTG calls! MP had TT, LP had AA, UTG had AK. AA holds up and runs over the rest of the table for the win. |
