No read, so I folded. I put this about 50/50 donkey hitting top pair and getting excited v's maybe some kind of semi-bluff draw or something.

There is no real need for a call here, with blinds so low.
I would only call this if I have seen him push crap on a board like that, but I am folding here without reads.
Remember that you limped preflop- this means you are playing for set value, don't get caught up with this medium strength hand.

No intention to and didnt consider it at the time, just posted for discussion.
He did open push KJs the next hand from UTG, if you'd seen that before would that change your mind at all?

I wouldn't call this, not only because he may be shoving a Q but also because CO and BB might call with a Q.
How he donked off almost half his stack in less than 10 hands is also a relevant read here.

Hmm, good point. I didnt take enough note of this hand at the time, but this hand happenned 3 hands earlier (pusher in first hand is the guy who folds here):
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG+1 (t1320)
MP1 (t1470)
MP2 (t1780)
CO (t1470)
Button (t1450)
Hero (t1480)
BB (t1240)
UTG (t3290)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 4 , 3 .
UTG raises to t40, 1 fold, MP1 calls t40, MP2 calls t40, 1 fold, Button calls t40, 2 folds.
Flop: (t190) 8 , 2 , Q (4 players)
UTG bets t80, MP1 folds, MP2 raises to t160, Button folds, UTG calls t80.
Turn: (t510) A (2 players)
UTG bets t380, MP2 raises to t760, UTG raises to t3090, MP2 folds.
Final Pot: t4360
So with that in mind, its an even easier fold.

Honestly, I think calling is -EV here but not by that much. He's going to turn up with all sorts of junk here a lot of the time. I'd feel pretty dumb if I called and he had a queen though.

More often that not I think these unnecessary pushes are flush chases. But like everyone else has said, no need to gamble, especially with the CO and BB still to act behind you.

How? He was UTG this time- or am I missing something?
