ive been a member here a while now, mostly just readin post and watchin the videos.
i must say this forum has helped me in alot of ways!
in the last year or so ive been tryin to get serious about my play and learn
and i think having some input into some hands i have questions about in actual play will go a long way.
thanks in advance e1 !
this is a question of setting myself up for the win
i seem to make it ITM but i feel as when its bubble time or as in this hand
when its going for the FT,when to call 8-14bb stack sizes all ins
in the limits i play i feel as i can be a lil tight in these spots because how bad the avg. field is
even these FTs are full of fish/calling stations/donks
so the over all question is:
stay tight or take more chances at these stack sizes and this stage of tourny
villian notes are agro,,all in alot w/10-14bb,,,
thinking: me being 9th of 16 remaining this is a good spot
BB playing super tight very small callin range
im well ahead of range
probaly chip leader if i win
or
i can fold with 10bb have a couple rounds to find a better spot
out if im wrong or he wins pot
IMO villians range 22-99,broadway,A5s-ATo,AQ,89s-KQs,,,,me thinks TT-AA,AK value raising with 14bb?

UTG (t20509)
MP (t14446)
CO (t23898)
Button (t9055)
Hero (SB) (t19194)
BB (t20425)
Hero's M: 5.82
Preflop: Hero is SB with J , A
2 folds, CO bets t23748 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero ?
i think i dump AT PPs lower than 77

According to ICM, your calling range must be tight. We should run the ICM but, first of all, why don't you pokerstove your hand against the range of villian you have given?

Well I totally missed this. I guess we can't run ICM here. According to you reads you should snap call this one. You have to double up at some point before getting blinded out and knowing you are ahead of villian's range, this is a great spot to do it.

It depends on the villian. As I said above, you should pokerstove your hand against the range of that specific villian.
By the way do you generally play 180-man turbo's?

Turbo SnG's are basically push or fold and help little to improve your game. As far as I know, revolvingiris were playing those 180 turbos and he can give you a better advice.
If you post specific hands, you can get comments from experienced players.

When you are in the 18-10 people left in the 180s look to take bigger risks. You always make 23.76 during this phase so ICM isn't as much of a factor. If CO had been active I would call this. With 180s your not really looking to just make the money. Your looking to hit the top 3 so give yourself the best opportunity to do that as you can.
