I think I was just unlucky but I could be wrong... I mean he basically flopped the best thing besides a straight, but am I wrong for letting him get a flop at all? He definitely folds if I shove pre.

Seems totally standard unlucky to me.

Like the guys said ,just unlucky, this things happens.Next time better luck

Do you guys agree with the 3bet size though? I didn't wanna lose him with a shove , and it was unlucky that he flopped top pair + flush draw making his hand unfoldable, but I don't think I ever want him to fold here, am I right ?

The only reason I question my play at all is because it was the bubble , I essentially soft played myself out of the money. Not really dwelling on it , I've seen way worse beats. Just wondering if playing it stronger is better because I'm putting my equity at risk, Albeit in a very favorable preflop situation.

3 bet should be Minimum 1200 here as you dont want to give pot Odds to anyone to call you when u ve AA. ur 3bet size 700 was too juicy for them to call. that is asking for Trouble ..

But there is only 1 villain in the hand, against 1 opponent you want to give them juicy odds, your aim is to get it all in the middle against one opponent which is what happened, it was just unlucky, 3 bet size was fine with me, he went all in with a flush draw, top pair with a weak kicker, which is a mistake. This is a winning play in the long run with this hand.

The 1200 3bet is a bad sizing because is not necesarry to do this big with your stack, i was thinking in something between 900-1000, its not too much difference with your 800 size, but i think it matters.

You played fine, you were trying to get some value from him and it worked but he managed to hit a very ideal flop for his hand.

Think shoving pre-flop on the bubble is good.If he has KK QQ you won't lose him and it avoids getting committed to your hand on a messy flop.
Earlier in tournament I would have played it the same as you did.

Pretty standard. He flopped top pair and third nut flush draw so he's not going anywhere.

Your mini raise is reasonable, in this situation he cant ask for a better flop with QJs. It is just bad luck for you. Just forget the bubble with mini cash. But next time you can make bigger raise for more value, maybe 2.5x initial raise. Just my opinion.
