Pushing preflop is bad, you still have a lot of chips to play with. I might raise slightly more (1200-1300) but 1000 isn't too small either. On that flop I don't know if you can really get away from it no matter what you do.

I don't mind a push preflop. If they fold you pick up a decent amount of chips. If they come along you have a great chance to double-up or at least close to it. It also saves thinking about how to play the hand on the flop. If I were to raise pre, it would probably be around 1200-1400. | |

Like 9 out of 10 people don't realize low pocket pairs are shit at high blind levels. He'd probably call any raise you threw at him. Bottom line it was destiny. | |

There's no interesting decision here. I like raising 1000 a little better than 1500 because of the BB. | |
