    Default 1st time at a Casino...playin MTT

Well I turn 21 on Sunday and my friends are going to play in the 25+4 tourney, with 20 Rebuys and A/O. I believe you get 1500 in chips to start, with unlimited rebuys for a certain period. I am taking 500 dollars. My question is, should I play this tourney like others (I have only read about rebuys, haven't played), should I play really loose and aggressive at the start, or should I just play tight and adjust to the tables with ppl wanting to rebuy or not? I think with this higher buyin not a lot of ppl are going to rebuy more than once or twice and it's going to be a donkfest. My friends cashed in it before at the final table so it can't be that good . There are around 40 ppl in the event. So back to the question, it is a low buy in tourney, I don't think the players are outstanding, so should I play a tight aggressive strategy, or work really loose aggressive to get a big stack, or just adjust to the tables? I was prolly looking to only buy in about 3 times or so. Thanks for the input.

Why did you mention that you are taking $500 if you only want to spend $65?

Honestly, most low stakes live tournaments have a bad enough structure that it's going to be a lot of luck anyway. A big part of your edge could come from accumulating chips early, if you can.

That said, being the only guy to rebuy in a small-field rebuy tournament can make it so that you have to do disproportionately well to earn a profit.

QFT!!!! My wife thrives in these types of live games like most of us wish we could. I'll get her on here to offer some general tips on how she does it.

What I meant by taking 500 and only spending 65 or whatever is just on the tourney. I wanted to try out some other games and see if I can get in a limit or small stakes nl game. I will rebuy prolly up to 100 if I can. My friends said with 40 ppl in and 30 bucks a pop that gets the pot to around 1200 or so and the total pot last time was 1900 bucks. So there will be a lot of ppl rebuying, I just didn't know if I should play a rebuy strategy of loose as a goose trying to accumulate chips or play tight conservative poker picking my spots since there will be donks anyway. Then I can loosen up later when the rebuys are gone? Or does this mainly depend on my bankroll and how much I am willing to spend? Also, if there is an option, should I rebuy immediately so I double the chips of everyone else?
