Default $6.50 bubble SBvsBB deep with 77

Villain is losing aggro fish. He really sucks and his stats reflect that.

I'd not raised his blind yet. He was actually far from me but people in middle had busted.

DOn't feel I can fold pre. The board was nice to me and i figured I'm really far ahead of his range so I bet out expecting to be folded to. Was this dumb?

Lastly is it time to fold after he shoves?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6.00+$0.50 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG (t2700)
    Button (t2945)
    Hero (SB) (t3980)
    BB (t3875)

    Hero's M: 13.27

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7, 7
2 folds, Hero raises to t500, BB raises to t800, Hero calls t300

    Flop: (t1600) 9, 4, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets t1000, BB raises to t3075 (All-In), Hero?

Gross spot; this kind of donk raise from a bad player is often AA. I wouldn't lead in this spot either.

for reasons that I cant quite explain properly, i think i'd openfold this.

Given the bubble situation I probably just open shove, as played, shove over and make him decide whether to be bubble boy.

As played, I think lead is OK but I probably make it 800 rather than 1000 and I fold pretty quickly to the shove over.

Minraise from a losing player is often not a good sign, I would call his minraise preflop but I would not lead the flop and fold to a bet

pre flop I guess set hunting is OK but if you're going to want to play on this board moving in pre (either time) seems much better. In general I think I would open shove because you don't really want to play a flop here and you say he's loose so you get called a lot. Also SB vs BB I always raise 3x or 3.5 with antes

on the flop I would assume he'll bet missed overs if you check to him so if you want to felt I would go that route but I would just give up. I don't like the lead because it doesn't make sense you would bet a real hand here after he 3 bet you, esp with no draws out. So in addition to burning money when behind there is some non zero chance you're managing to put more money in then fold the best hand since your play looks like exactly what it is. Maybe a fish won't see it but he may tilt shove his AQ because 'he always misses"

cliff notes - 77 is hard to play OOP on the bubble, make them make the hard choices

    yeah I'd probably shove preflop.

lol drmcboy, you nailed the hand exactly. Lead was bad. I called (maybe that was tilt, or maybe I couldn't believe he had it) and he had AJ. LOL.

Of course I stopped laughing when he spiked the turn...

Thanks for the comments, particularly drmcboy whose cliff note will be my new mantra.

Yeah, after reading the replies and the logic behind them, I agree that leading the flop is not the best play, if we get shoved over we are either crushed by his range or ahead but don't know it and have to fold anyway.
