    Default $3.4 - 88 bubble

I had 88 in the BB at the bubble and the button had raised.
The button was a very loose player.
88 is a good hand and goes up in value against a loose player, but I did not knew how to play it.
I thought just calling was kind of weak, because I was OOP and a flop would almost always contain overcards to my 8's.
On the other hand I thought 88 was a bit marginal to push over, especially because I had a decent stack and he had me covered.
How would you play this hand?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) by Hand Converter CG

    Hero (t4252)
    UTG (t3778)
    Button (t4796)
    SB (t2174)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8h, 8c.
1 fold, Button raises to t625, 1 fold, hero ??

Without reads this is horrible. I lean towards a shove vs. the majority of players, but you would have to fold if you thought you have no FE (ie. Villain is tight and anything he's raising, he aint folding.)

Ooo thats tough given he is the other bigstack.

The thing is you are the other bigstack and he doesn't want to mess too much with you just as you don't want to tangle with him.

Said that I like raising here to about 1400-1600. With that you still have a decent stack size (seeing as how you will still be able to push and take a lot of pots because you are not timy stached), and it will give you more info about what opp has as well as telling him he can't steal your blinds without a huge hand.

Sorry I forget the info of the hand. I edited my main post now.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

This is a tough spot and needs some ICM analysis. That said, my gut reaction from the reads you have provided is to shove over.

If you would like me to do the ICM analysis, let me know what hands you think opp would raise and what hands you think he would call a push with. If this guy has been loose/passive, limping into every pot without raising much then I'm getting pretty worried about what he has. If he has been loose/aggressive then I'm happily shoving over.

Needless to say, if opp can't fold hands like QTo or T9s then taking even the right end of the flip is a total disaster.
