I gave these a shot today... what the fuck? None of those guys played P/F at the final table. Seriously, the short stacks sat and did nothing, especially on the bubble.

I don't know for sure just yet, but these guys definitely played worse than the $12 guys at the final table.

(All that said, I bubbled on one, took 6th on another and encounter a bunch of bullshit variance in the other 8.)

Have you guys noticed anything odd about these tournies?

Alright, that was an angry post. My apologies.

Better question:

How do you guys deal with nit tight final tables when you have a mediocre stack and there are several shorties at the table?

Man, I hope for nit final tables tbh. Obv these are different at the levels I play -- players are generally playing tighter than is optimal -- but, depending on ICM considerations, with a weakish stack I like to play it sort of 'ABC'; raise from the usual positions with top 20 or 30% depending on reads on the 3 guys to our left. If they're folding more than they should, things will break in our favour. If there are some really short stacks I'll tighten up till they bust and forgo position raises as necessary.

Edit: Should point out I'm playing 5$ 45-mans mostly. These are probably wayyy softer than those 27$ you're grinding.

I have a more established history than most of them. I think I will definitely pull ahead long run.
