I am running a trial version of PT3 and HUD that was bundled with it. I never realized the advantage these programs can give a player by pointing out leaks and giving stats on other players until i actually tried it myself. Within a few minutes of getting HUD running I was making plays based on the stats that were for me. I play 25 NL on PS and got to thinking about what percentage of players are even aware of these valuable tools and actually use them. How many people do you think there are at your average table are using tools to help improve their game.

I was wondering the same thing after finally getting onboard the HUD bandwagon myself. There's a pretty recent thread on this forum that seems to indicate that they're already quite pervasive among the online poker community.

I like to accessorise my online pokerware. HUDs are now de rigueur, I think.

Based on this, as well as other anecdotal evidence, I'd think it's well on its way to becoming standard.

But I wouldn't worry about it too much. Having stats on other players via a heads-up display doesn't necessarily equal better players across the board. In many cases, a great deal of this information would be yielded from attentive observation anyway.

I would generally guess at 25nl on PS most regs have it. Your average fish probably wont, but most others will.

I think this is true. Anyone who is at a level the requires you take the game seriously probably has it. How well they use it is another story.

I'm rather new to online poker, but even at 5nl and 10nl, I see many discussions about PT and other software. I play assuming anyone multi-tabling uses it as well.
