I'm thinking about buying poker tracker, really considering it.

However is it just the demo version I have or does any one else have any problems auto-importing hand histories. I read the FAQ about importing from hotmail and I can't do it. I'm also at a University with another email account but i can't seem to get that to work either.

I am able to recieve and send emails via Outlook with the University account, but i keep getting Timed Out.

If I can get my email to work so I dont have to constantly copy and paste 200 hands every couple hours into a notepad file, I will buy this thing.

Any suggestions?

I have never had any problems importing from outlook into poker tracker for both pary and pokerstars.

I do get a message every time I import from outlook about another program trying to access it. Apparently there is no way to turn this off. Do you get this message? If not perhaps there is some security level that is stopping you.

Maybe i wasnt clear enough.

I dont use outlook to download files from the online server from my university email account. Does poker tracker offer this option? Is there a free email account on the web that will allow Poker Tracker to perform this function?

I saw the raves about poker tracker, so I finally used some of my winnings to buy it. I am really enjoying it, I love stats and it has tons of them.

It is extremely easy to import hands from Paradise, Party and Poker Stars.

I do slum quite a bit at a few Prima sites, Royal Vegas and 7Sultans. Does anyone have any clue how to get hand histories from them? I have not been able to find how to do it, except for maybe copying and pasting from the chat area, but that seems very tedious.

Any suggestions?

Would also like to import from Pacific, but I'm pretty sure that is impossible, as they don't have standard software at all.

Thanks

Question on Poker Tracker database size:

I usually play poker on my old laptop and it only has a 3Gb hard drive. There is nothing on this latop but Windows 2000, about 7 different poker clients and MS Excel and Word.

How big does the Poker Tracker database get? I know it is a direct relationship between the number of hand histories imported but can anyone give me an estimate of database size say per every 5000 hands?

Also, are there any options to archive results after importing so many hands? Ex., I now have imported 20K hands. Can I take the info gathered from those first 20K hands, archive it, delete the first 20K hands and begin importing anew?

I want to break down and finally get Poker Tracker but i don't want it to use up all of the remaining space on my HD.

Thanks in advance for any info on this!

This is probably my only gripe about RV. I wish there were some way to get hand histories. They are in a pretty neat fashion in the chat window, however I think you would lose suit information when copying and pasting since they dump a little graphic icon in there.
