your question is confusing.
partypoker saves all the hands on the computer, so pokertracker should read them straight from a file.

jbmagic, if you only want to have hand histories from now on, you need to delete all the hand histories currently stored on your computer. Go to the PartyPoker program file (most likely - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\) and delete all files/folders within the folder 'HandHistory'.
edit: I'm assuming you haven't imported any hands yet

Have you played any real money hands yet?
Have you imported any hands into PokerTracker yet?

You need to create a new database.
In the file menu, click Maintain Database Names...
Then click the button labeled Add... on the dialog that pops up. This will create a new and empty row on the dialog box.
Give your new database a name and select Create a new Database from the combo box on the right.
You probably want to check the Default checkbox next to your new database as well.
