Hi, guys! I wonder how many of you use PAHud and if it is worth buying it because as I look, it doesn't seem different than Gametime which I use.
It might be a stupid question (I might have missed some important options of PAHud) but thanks for the responses anyway.

FWIW I use Gametime and am about to switch to PAHUD, from want I have come to realize it is just more compatible with PT especially at UB (which is where I play right now)

Night and day. resizable windows, no problem, stats goe here instead of here, no problem. New guy sits down, new stat same hand, no problem. different colours for different %%'s, no problem.

So you say it is better than Gametime? You said that stats go here instead of here so you don't have to move them to the players (that is what I have to do - if there is a way to fix that please tell ). Is it worth the money then?

PaHud is worth twice as much, Don't tell them though. The stats in PaHud stay where "you put them' when you resize the windows. It has a trial period. Try it.

Thanks for reminding me of a trial period for PAHud. I almost forgot about that.
Is it worth getting Poker office if I have Poker Tracker? I heard it is almost the same.

IMO, Pokeroffice is just easier to use because it has a built in grapher and HUD which is the same as PAHud except it places the stats automatically and you cant use colors. I have never had a problem when it comes to stats on the tables.
PO2 = $79.00 and PAHud = $25, so its more $$ but i love it because its all one program.
RE: Jdubs, i really cant comment on how valueable it is for tournies. I used it when i played SnG's, but they were turbos so the stats meant almost nothing.

it depends. How much do you like me yelling at you after you post?
IMO (many differ!), most tourney players who use HUDs use them as an excuse for weak tight play. Given the constantly changing situations in a tourney, even if you accumulate a decent sample you won't get much out of it. If you sit with someome for more than a few tourneys, you should be able to get a decent read without HUD, if not HUD wasn't helping you anyway.

I believe you are probably right, but please explain.

I'd like to meet Jesus. Not because people claim he was the son of god, but because he could turn water into wine. A man like that is good to know, because you never know when you'll need a bottle of wine or an extra nail.

PA is much better than gametime. If you are playing at anything close to 25NL then it doesnt have to add much to your BB/100 to pay for itself.
I find its alot more comfortable to use and the colour coding is nice too.

woody - I see posts now and then where people seek to justify folding huge hands based on some super small sample size. They hate that sometimes when you have KK someone has AA, or has AK and will draw out, and that you often have to take flips when there is money in the pot. So they pray they can look up at their HUD and see a 4/1 or something and be blinded off instead of playing JJ against a 'tight' MP raiser.
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-49092.htm
we make a read based on 26 hands and opt to fold a monster, given low stack.
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-49389.htm
This one was just goofy.
These are just examples, I put some more thoughts above in ginger's post but the point is, making a decision that is SUBSTANTIALLY different from typical play based on the sample you are likely to have on most villians just doesn't work for me. If I saw people posting stuff with 500 hands behind it I'd feel better, but that is uncommon in SNG land and almost unheard of in MTT world. And if 200 of those hands are at 150/300 or more when opp had a huge stack, and you're playing 25/50 against him as a shorty...

So Poker office actually has PAHud in it? But isn't a waste of money to have two different and almost the same programs, like Poker tracker and Poker office? Bode-ist, you have them both? If you do, can you compare them a little bit, please?

they are exactly the same programe except that Poker Office has a built in HUD and grapher whereas PT needs add ons. There is virtually no difference in the statistical functions.
I prefer PO because i only have to have 1 extra program running and because it has a more user freindly interface. that being said, many people prefer PT for other reasons. The reason PT is the more popular program is it has simply been around longer.

I was looking at poker office and it says it is $79/year.
So that means every year you pay $79 for it, right?
What about Poker tracker and PaHUD... do you have to keep renewing them?

No annual fee for PAHud or PT. One time, until the next major revision. That doesn't appear to be coming anytime soon.
Each one has a trial version. Try them all and see which you prefer.

One thing that should be added here is that GT+ supports a few sites that PAHUD doesn't, Paradise and the iPoker network comes to mind. PAHUD is a much better program though, so I use that for the sites that support it and GT+ on sites that don't.
