I have been becoming increasingly aware of the difference in how much respect I’m given at tables during MTT’s where I’ve been playing tight aggressive making around 15-20%, as opposed to 25-30%. I can only assume that the difference is attributed to the use of HUD displays on an increasing percentage of players.

I’m curious how many out there use add on Ware to aid their game, and do you guys think, as I do, that playing online poker will soon become a fools game if your playing without some kind of software helper?

I apologize if this was not the correct location for the posting of a question / topic concerning Heads Up Display Software overlays accentuating ones poker game.

I had assumed that because other posts within this thread included:

Creating AHK script by Rob
PokerTracker3 & HUDscapades by Spoonitnow
HUD lag reduction by Micro2Macro
Hole Card Software by cnpoker888
Pokertracker3 Question by Philly_and_the_Phanatics

that I would not be too far off base with this line of inquiry.

Nutty McMutt & Parasurma, please enlighten me in your obviously understanding and patient domineer as to where I might relocate this thread.

Make a great day…

I like to accessorise my online pokerware. HUDs are now de rigueur, I think.
Sound off like ya gotta pair!

depends a lot on the amount of tables you play. Also a lot of people choose to make themselves bots rather than play poker since they have a HUD. They are really nice to have on your left.

Also the difference between 15% PFR and 30% PFR is dramatic and people will be able to see it with or without a HUD if they are paying attention.

I should add that if buying HEM/PT3 takes a big chunk of your roll, you are at a level where you can have plenty of success with no HUD. And it's probably better when you're learning to play less tables and focus more on getting reads. If it doesn't take a chunk, then you should buy it even if you don't play a lot of tables. For a long time I had a HUD for NLHE but not for omaha. Once I finally started the omaha one there were a lot of regs that I "knew" who played much looser/tighter than I thought just based on my observations.

Would be a valid point if you had actually placed it in the forum with all those topics originally. Very interesting that you got so defensive and tried to pretend like this thread was here from the beginning.

I was not making fun of you or suggesting you were mentally inferior but now that you've made this post you are either dishonest, careless, lack reading comprehension, or some combination thereof.

Sorry to call you out, but I was merely observing the fact that for some reason a majority of misplaced threads get posted in blogs and ops and was addressing the moderator of the forum, not you directly.

Well it seems that maybe I should try posting in the wrong forum next time, since my thread on a related topic didn't get very much attention

Anyhow, seems as though this thread has addressed a few of my concerns -- notably on the pervasiveness of HUD usage.

I take it from your post drmc that HEM and PT3 are the standards in terms of HUDs being used nowadays? I'm mainly playing low-stakes MTTs and all I've used so far is Poker Edge (same site as pokersherlock so I figure they're just skins of one another..?). Should I look into these two instead?

Edit: NM downloaded PT3, and it owns.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen.
