Exclamation A Real Life Brain Hack for Poker Players

I write a weekly strategy column here on FTR. I'm in the process of getting an easy-to-access thread for the series with an updated list of all the posts and whatnot, but this week, I wrote on something that I honestly, truly think is one of the coolest things in the world.

In a nutshell, this week's column is an introduction to an idea that will 100% change your life in a major way if you use it. There's no question about it, and it's not difficult.

Important: There's a simple exercise that it asks you to do in the middle of this post. It'll take you about five minutes to do, and if you could do that for me and report back in this thread, it would help a lot. I'm looking to expand on this and turn it into a more accessible tool for players, but I need your feedback to make it happen.

This wasn't very difficult for me, mostly because I meditate for about 5-10 minutes every day. For anyone that is interested, I use an app called Calm. I've been using it for a while now. It's very similar to the counting exercise, but is just a guided meditation that helps you focus on "being in the moment."
Trust me when I say that meditation really does help clear your mind and enhance your focus in everyday life. It really brings you a sense of clarity and calmness in whatever you do.
