Played it fine if you fold turn vs the jam. Calling because "lol pot odds" is just wasting money at 5nl when this is 99/JJ near 100% of the time (and t8s all of the other times).
The question you need to ask yourself is "what do I beat?" vs a range that calls a 3bet pre and jams turn when we won't conceivably fold? Villains just don't ever bluff in this spot at 5nl and one pair is never going to be good. It's annoying for all of us when starting out to have to fold overpairs, but it's something you'll need to start doing to build a bigger bankroll.
It's probably a fold but I can't see this being 99/JJ/T8 only like bean thinks, I mean there's obviously 77 too, AJ is probably there too, maybe 66 KJ QJ TJ... when we bet this turn this amount, even a passive fish can feel like it's a "fuck it shove" with his top pair. Not many people will call half their stack here. I can level myself into calling this, but I'm hardly surprised when villain flips over a better hand.
yep shoulded 3b atleast 60c pf
vs a range like, 77,99,jj,TT,76,j9,t8,qj,kj,aj i have 44% equity and i need to call 2.3$ in a 10$ pot so its an easy call no?
dont think its a good play to fold here vs villain or play diferent then bet, bet on flop and turn?
I knew that the villain had set of something before I click on the show button.
I will probably play this hand the same as you, maybe I would not make raise on the flop, maybe I would only make a call, but after showing the flop I will bet or raise.
On the turn I agree with the size of your bet, even it's a little big, because we would think that the villain maybe have AK or TT and for us is more important to protect our cards.
After his raise we know that he has strong cards and maybe the best hand, but who could fold QQ on this kind of cards on the table.
I mean what would be if it came Q on the river.
For that reason I think that you played good this hand, only you didn't have luck.
